Pro-tip: If you like to see videos of our events, keep your eye on the video gallery on the FAST website. Every time someone posts a link to one here on on Facebook, when I watch it, I add it to the gallery. These days, we're probably seeing at least half a dozen different videos per event. Lots of different takes on how to drive a course. (or how not to drive a course)

Here's the video of my last run. Last two runs I shifted down to first on the turn around which helped the car pull out of the corner faster. Last 2 runs were about 0.5 seconds quicker with the downshift compared to the other runs when I kept it in 2nd. Gearing in the car is kinda tall with these tires so it warranted a downshift after looking at the data.

Dat was really tight on the loop!!! AND fast too. 32 seconds.....arrrrg. Trevor was 32 also.....arrrrrg in the same "trunk kit" car. That's just amazing what 2 liters NA can do in the right hands.
BTW. Did anyone ever try to do the loop Counter Clockwise for comparison? I was going to but my tires got hot and I threw in the towel a little early that day.

There were a few people in Heat 3 who tried it (i worked the turnaround heat 3). What I noticed: a) the entrance looked painful. It was a lot more work to set the car up properly. b) nobody did it more than once. They tried it and apparently didn't like it so never attempted again.

Counter clockwise was very slow on entry and it didn't look like anyone got any more speed on exit.

The "Petrie" dish has answered.
No germs. AKA no "nice try no cigar".
