Just call in "healthy!"
Tell them you've come down with rectal glaucoma. You just can't see your ass going to work.

Unfortunately I've lost to many hours this week to call in healthy. My boss is cool but if I'm the only one around on Sunday, what can we do

Ooooh, it's ON now! I want video. Photos. Telemetry. CNN coverage. This will be epic!
(What? No, I did NOT mean that it will take an epoch for the FASTiva to get around the course!)
We need to mount a camera on the car. I think John will be OK with me mounting his old Go-Pro on it!

You did say you've been ill. That sucks. You do drive like you are a sick person!! Everyone says how sick you drive.
Get well soon.
Doug
Thanks!

That bondo was probably installed at the factory, someone on the assembly line probably leaned against it.

So what is the "theme" of this event?
"Kill Bill" .... aka....Ken Marion?
"So long FASTiva I miss you now?"
"Rolling, rolling on the Airport?"
"I wish I had a real car."
"Oh baby....oh baby...uh?"
"ET phone home this car is alien to me?"

Didn't know until today if I would be off that day. Registration is full - if there is a drop, is there I way I could be told? I don't think there is a way to do a waiting list.

Registration is not full.
If you're looking at the entry list, remember that the total there includes guests. When in doubt, try to register! If it's full, the system won't let you. If it's not full, it will!

But, it's not full. Nor is it closed. There are only 38/50 drivers. Check again. If it's still happening, send me a screen shot or something. Probably some user-error going on here.

But, if not, it's a problem I need to look into.

Yeah. What happened was that when I changed your status to "Member" at the end of the season, I inadvertently unchecked your "Driver" status. Need to check and see if I did that to anyone else.
Anyway, you're all set now!

Nope -- has to be at least 30 years old. Now you might be able to talk DMV into custom car license plates -- the requirement is at least 25 years old, "with a body made from non-original materials, or changed from its original design specifications." There's probably enough Bondo in the FASTiva to qualify for "non-original materials."

Hey -- don't get too frisky. We're already after the Mayor and that Steve guy (who's trying to escape by driving a VW this time...but we know where he is). We'll figure out what you're Fit for, too!

I will reserve comments until after we run under equal track conditions. As you may recall, the first heat ran in slop. That's usually a 1.5-2 sec allowance. I can't wait til Sat to get a chance at redemption.
