I bought a db meter to test my exhaust after switching back to stock. I will bring it Saturday if you would like to run your own tests.Carracer wrote:Any chance of releasing the sound level information you have collected? Yep, you'll probaby be all right. We'll let you know!vzwire wrote:So today I put the stock mufflers back on the #44 Mustang. From 10 yards DIRECTLY behind my car I am now 94.4 at wide open throttle. With that being said, I should be in the very low 90's/ high 80's in the trailer at the start line. So disappointed to let the Roush exhaust go... But it is what it is.
I should be good to go...See y'all on Saturday.
Sort of surprising...there are some cars in there that never struck me as loud. Must have lost some nerve endings earlier in life....Loren wrote:If you want to know who was loud, just look for a db reading in parenthesis after their last name in the results.
I bought electronic ear muffs for the next time I am the starter, I don't have enough nerve endings to lose any more.Jamie wrote:Sort of surprising...there are some cars in there that never struck me as loud. At my previous job we were required to take a hearing test every year. One year I decided to ignore the beep until it was loud, later when I received the results it said my hearing was normal for my age. My ears have been ringing since I was a teenager and fired a 357 magnum snub nose without any protection.jev61 wrote:I bought electronic ear muffs for the next time I am the starter, I don't have enough nerve endings to lose any more.Jamie wrote:Sort of surprising...there are some cars in there that never struck me as loud.
