Please tell me that the course is more fun that it looks. Not a whole lot of variety, other than maybe an alien UFO landing at the far end.

FAST Open Autocross - April 9 - Brooksville

Postby Loren » Fri Apr 01, 2016 10:47 pm

It's as fun as any Brooksville course, just simplified.

Look closely. 50' spaced slalom (barely 2nd gear, very challenging), 62' spaced slalom (solid 2nd gear, classic "fun" slalom), the figure 8 element that was universally LOVED the last time we did it, then a 62' eased-offset slalom (faster than the other one... cool), and a 50' eased-offset slalom that will be some unknown degree of challenging fun. (we won't even know until we set it up and decide just how we want to set the offset)

But, if you think about it, every airstrip course is mostly "slalom out, turn-around, slalom back". This one is just stripped down to its bare essentials. Simplicity. Doesn't mean that it won't be fun. Doesn't mean that it won't have its own unique set of challenges.

I'll be there in the afternoon.. Looks like solid slalom training.. (Glad the BRZ likes to change directions). And Loren is right.. A lot of design is just visual .. In the end it's all slaloms.

Holy crap there are 21 fun runners in the late session. Whew. Glad your runs don't count.

Not to worry even with your 12 runs half you will still finish behind the old guys.....

Ben. I'm so sorry for you that Loren has kicked your ass so hard you have to go walk it off for months.

Should I bring you a flashlight? Let me know. I feel for you. I also woke one day with all my hair laying on the pillow.

I got over it. You will too. Just walk it off. :bangwall:

Drew's car has a colostomy bag? Is that legal? Or is it his douche bag? Hard to tell the difference from out front. Right Joe? Mario? Somebody? :d

It is duly noted that Ken Marion's son has abandoned him and he no longer has a tire warmer.
Question: "Can Ken win all alone?" Can Tony get his act together so early in the morning? Can The Mayor wear his tires down to 6/32"? These are the questions that will determine the rest of your lives.

Anyone who finds fault with "Lazarus" the trailer will find a cone shoved up your tailpipe AND you will be responsible for the next "iteration" of "THE TRAILER".

So be it sayeth the Mayor of Dougopolous. Be warned I am no longer struggling alone. Vice-Mayor returns from the old country tomorrow with new instructions from the Queen. You are so screwed.
