Apparently you aren't in on the scuttlebutt....after the fact they are ALL "Fastiva" courses

If that were the case, vehicles like Alan Vint's Cherokee wouldn't be able to navigate the course at all... or your Vette for that matter.
I know you're kidding, but please don't make accusations that are far from true. People who don't know any better might start believing it!
We try to make courses that are "balanced". No significant advantage to "small" cars, no significant advantage to "high power" cars. Sometimes our best guess is wrong and we end up with something that's a little too tight, or a little too fast. NEITHER of which is good for the FASTiva. If it's too tight, we have to SLOW DOWN, which hurts us more than it hurts anybody. If it's too open, our lack of power is apparent. (and we end up exceeding our maximum allowed speed, which is not good)
This particular course is almost identical to the one we ran on December 5th last year. It was a fun course, got good reviews, but people were hitting a lot of cones on it and looking at some videos, there were a couple places that I thought could be better. So, I tweaked it slightly in a couple places, and eliminated A LOT of cones to clean it up and hopefully reduce the count count. Ran it past the review committee, and there ya go.
Is it a FASTiva course? Not likely. Most aren't. But, it will certainly be fun!
OH! I think this is the course where Soraya drove the FASTiva and did a 360 in the Chicago box on the return side.

The upshift is one thing, it's the downshift I'll be working on.

You need two stickers...
"Mind if I smoke?"
"Turn it to 11" with the backdrop being a tach

You focus on that first gear turn around, I'm sure you can get it just right after four or five attempts.

Loren convinced me that if I removed one axle and rev limited the Vette to 2k rpm we might be equally matched. I actually tried this the other day and still hit 55 in 3rd @ 2k redline. Starting in 2nd made it fairly quick with only one shift needed:) Using the cruise control at 45mph on my rural tire test road while staying in my lane in 4th gear was a blast for my wife and I trying to be smooth only using steering (while covering the brake) to slow the car and learning the new tires.
