Another fun day. Maxine and I had a blast. Coned 3/4. I'm sour about the last one. Ran a 45.5 with Jason as my guest rider. That was a good run (sans cone of course). Thank you to our committee for all the hard work put into these events and for continuing to put together a safe, extremely enjoyable experience.

Fun course, it really made me wish for another 40HP. Dave hit the nail on the head when he said this layout had a "road racing" feel. S4 was a battle again. I thought I had Jason and I had a co-pilot lined up to ride with me on my last run. I jokingly mentioned to him if Jason get beats me by a tenth on his last run I'll need my last run to be solo. Of course Jason does exactly that Sorry, I owe you a ride.

My 4th run was good enough to get back in front and take a win, after the last event I figured I might never see 1st place sticker again

I am sure you mean that you nearly reached 69 mph. Our insurance requires maximum speed to not exceed 70 mph, so we would never design a course that would exceed this speed limit. I know it seemed fast, but since you weren't looking at your speedo, I can assure you that you only reached 67 mph or so.

You're totally right. 67ish sounds spot on.

Mustang events without incident = 5! This is great, it allows me to focus on driving.
S3 had a very close battle for second, its time to "push harder and suck less".

Flashback to electronics tech school. Really old instructor. Told us on day one "I'm not going to teach you the test, but I might do something like stomp my foot if something is really important and you might want to remember it." And then throughout the course, he'd hit on a topic and say "that's a foot-stomper right there!"

Funny how you remember certain teachers. That was over 30 years ago, and I only saw him for maybe 3 months and never again. But, he stuck with me.

Great day, great course, great people. Perfect way to enjoy a Saturday.

Loved the course; wished we get more where most everyone is pushed into 3rd gear, not just the torque-challenged. That said, my lack of experience with such skills patently showed, given my co-drivers blazing time driving Chispa. I dirtied a 44.6xx 4th run but each one showed improvement over the previous one so I was happy. Still... need to practice down/upshifts so I can drive mo' better. I have hatched a plan and Philip is my co-conspirator

Practice rev-matched downshifts to 4th, 3rd and 2nd as you come to stop lights. (1st is harder to do, and generally not necessary, but you can practice that sometimes, too)

im glad I practice my heel-toe rev match, finally came in handy. hope to see that course again.

on my last run I couldn't get the car placement correctly on the way back and ran thru a cone wall. at the moment I thought it's just a rubber cone, but in hindsight I was accelerating in 3rd. oh well, the car needed body work anyhow.

Video of my runs 3 and 4, 41.495 and 41.681. I was late on the throttle in several places and to slow in the turn around in addition to hitting cones.

Thanks for another fun event. I can't imagine someone trying this and not liking it.

Had a great time, my first double session. Struggled a bit (sucked much) on those three chutes after the turnaround and got stubborn with them. Going out was a blast though; my wagon felt semi-fast
