Thinking about rear shock settings - FWD

Postby jev61 » Tue Nov 07, 2017 4:17 pm

Stiffening the rear shocks and packing the rear bump stops may help from unloading the front of the car as much during accelerating. Lower rear tire pressure may not help while accelerating, but may help elsewhere. Does toe-IN give FWD more bite during acceleration?

For straight line acceleration, it should. Once you've initiated a turn and loaded the outside wheel, it probably doesn't make as much difference.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
