To close the loop on this, I ended up with the BFG Rivals and Carl did the mounting and balancing. Their first test will be at the Greyhound track on Saturday. Thanks for everyone’s input.

The BFGs are a great choice, but all those mentioned were pretty decent, had I seen this earlier I would've mentioned Kumhos....seriously..back when we were NASA and I ran "DOT" slicks on my mustang against a whole hoard of S2000s it was the only way I could stay competitive..the price was right, but I haven't heard much about them lately.

Can't do that in Street Tire classes anymore...200 minimum treadwear. Kumho hasn't managed to stay competitive in that market. Too bad...I turned lots of V700s and V710s into rubber dust, too!
