Ken had a good story about them bringing in one of those 767's, the flight being delayed several times due to mechanical problems, and the pilot not quite knowing where he was and almost missing the runway. Sounded pretty exciting. Good thing it was an empty plane.

Rule: "NOTE: Our classes are based on SCCA “Street” category classes. SCCA does their rule revisions in January. The FAST competition season runs September through July. For this reason, we will not require a driver to change their class in January if SCCA makes a change that would place them in a different FAST class. Whatever class your car is eligible for at the beginning of the season (assuming you make no changes to the car), you may run through the end of the season."
So this has never occurred to me before they moved all the BS AWD cars to DS Jan 1st. Does this rule have the 'option' of changing classes if one wants to? Or are we to stay with the Sept classing from the previous year period? I can see people in DS sweating all ready 1/2 way thru the season. But then they all ready had to deal with the rare Honda R from 2018. So maybe it's a moot point?

That's why it's spelled out in the rules. Our classing is locked down until the end of our season.

I never noticed the word "may" so I asked. Okay. DL might want to come beat me up in S1/BS again with the 6 other ringers this event instead of /s2/DS where registered.

Well the Corvette Club has a T+T this Saturday. I missed it due to house guest so no tire break in for me. They will find the outer limits of the North slope maybe? Especially if Philip shows up.

I'm finding all these derelict planes disturbing as their last flight path is right over our house. They should approach from the East in the future over the Green Swamp.

I just finished revising the course for the shifted location, which entailed starting on the opposite side. So, I had to mirror the course, and then rework the section near the rubble pile. Fun stuff.
It's out for safety review. Should have it posted by about Monday.

Yes, considering the first ones appeared 18 months ago. When will the carcasses be hauled off?

When they've finished stripping the usable parts from them. I'm surprised the A318s are still there -- I'd thought they'd thoroughly cannibalized them by now, but I guess not. Maybe the skin sections are worth more than scrap.
Expect the more recent arrivals to be around for awhile...they've barely started stripping them.
