I don't recall last year, but if folks already said it was too loud last year, and the exhaust is the same, it'll probably be too loud this year, too.

fwiw, last year we got no "official complaint" from SPC, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't...

Any easy way to quiet it down, even just a smidge?

If you are worried enough that you have to ask, I'd be concerned about it. My question to you is, would you be willing to run with the risk of us saying you have to stop after only one run? Were the people complaining a couple of people just watching, or someone in charge? I have to admit, if it's just WAY too loud, I wouldn't have a problem pulling you from the grid.

i dont think its loud but my partner said somebody mentioned it is the reason i ask. here is a video link from last year that scott aka snookwheel put up http://blip.tv/file/1906904/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
it just sounds like a bumblebee on crack, but i just wanted to make sure before i signed up. never hurts to ask right?

The nearby residents will just think their neighbor is running a weed wacker.

Oh hell, you sound fine to me! Bring it on. The SPC lawn equipment is probably louder. :lol:

Can you please fix the duty roster. I had put down for working grid, thanks!

Jamie will have to hook that up for you. I'll PM him tomorrow if he doesn't update it tonight.

Another reminder...the sure way to get work preferences in is to put them in your entry...I don't look for them on the board, so don't always catch them. (Yes, Carl, you did. Although I won't be able to eat sushi for a couple of months now....)

Also, I've been cycling interested new folks throuhg timing in an effort to expand the pool...probably leaned a bit too far forward yesterday (figuring I'd be more available to help, rather than lying under my car), so I'll be more carefully feeding in new folks. Keep in mind, too, that if you sign up to set up timing, you also get to pull a shift in timing during a run group.

If anything, you should crave sushi even more. I know I do. But I also have a good beer next to me.

Wow, designing a course for SPC is harder than I thought it would be. I've already thrown away about 10 sketches. I'll get it submitted to safety in the next day or two...just incase anyone was wondering where the map was. :lol:
