Rerouted you to setup...there are always more volunteers for grid than we need, so just filled in the next guy....

A little off-topic, but since folks will be reading this:

We need event chairs for July, Sept. Nov. and Dec.
Anybody interested? Think you are and have questions? Shoot me an email or pm...

More on topic, and just thinking ahead: somebody needs to plan to catch up with me to pick up (and return) the registration box for this event...bein' as how I ain't goin', an' stuff... I'm in St. Pete, btw.

Jaime, thanks for the heads up and I look forward to receiving the list once registration has closed.

Steven, worst case scenario, I can pick up and return the registration box.

Does anyone want to volunteer for trailer tow or supplies?

If you haven't registered yet and want to make it out. Don't wait to long or at least check the myautoevents.com site to see how many spots are left. We already have 29 entrants last time I checked, which means 31 open spots.

Starter and grid seem to be enormously popular, but the volunteer spots are filled (a few times over!). I do recommend people put in an alternate -- we can use another person for setup, and a couple for teardown -- because the default blank choice is running for cones.

For the growing group of folks who want to try out timing -- in order to insure we don't overwhelm a couple of newbies with a timer problem, I'll ask that if this is your first time, or if you haven't done it for awhile, you spend the group you're not running or driving in (or one of the groups, if we run four) watching for a couple of events. We probably need to get Kenny to run a timer training session -- could be something we do at the August get-together -- to make sure everyone pulling a shift in the trailer knows how fix problems that may crop up.

Jamie,

I updated my work preference on MAE to "course setup." My grandpa knee hates shagging cones and I'd like to get there early and get my work assignment out of the way.

Good idea, some of the timing newbs seem to have trouble keeping up with accurate timing when we have decent overlap on a course.

Definitely don't want two fairly new people working it together.....

I won't be doing Brooksville this month so the trailer pull is up for grabs.

I'd vote for that. I'd attend, too. :)

Yeah, hopefully someone closer to St. Pete - it'll be a bit more convenient.

And someone who's done it before volunteer to show Shon the registration ropes!

Updated the volunteer list based on traffic...can still use a couple of people for teardown (Doug -- interested?). We also need someone to pick up supplies, and most definitely need someone to tow the trailer!

I'm in for this one. If you still need people for tear-down, you can put me in there. I enjoy hanging out and watching everyone run anyhow.

If it isn't too much trouble, I'd like to switch from starter to teardown.

Winners by 7 minutes....

Still need someone to pull the trailer...we'll be out there marking the course with stray rocks if it doesn't show up.

I pmed a couple of guys about towing the trailer.

Does anyone know how many paper plates and paper towels we have? We'll be having pizza for lunch and I don't want to be short on paper products.

Speaking of lunch. The pizza place doesn't deliver and no one has signed up for lunch. Please feel free to volunteer for lunch duty.
