Proceed.
Has a day/time been chosen?
I'd be down with 8:30-9:00am Saturday. The earlier the better since it'll be blazin hot like every other day. 8)

I'll meet you there at 9. and I'll commit to two hours. I just moved and I have a shit-ton of my own stuff to do.
Where's everyone else?
Eric,
the ideas that have been shared have included:
better storage scheme
arrange for things to be strapped down
install shelving of some type to hold small things
small plastic tubs can contain small loose items like batteries, pens, etc.
tubs specifically for timing light mounts, cables, and power cords, so they're not mixed in with other
things.
big tubs are OK for the helmets.
Specific storage for brooms, umbrellas, fire extinguishers
mark the floor so the heavy stuff that needs to be carefully placed to balance the load can be done so consistently and quickly and by anyone.
Clean out trash and stuff we don't use (power cords, cables, broken chairs)
do something with the canopy (easier storage/access).
outside spare tire mount
seal leaky windows/frame/gutters
there's probably other things that folks have/can contribute, but who ever is there will be making the decisions...

Looks like I'm probably going to have to bail on Saturday.

Steve, Eric, are you in Drew?
I'll try to make it to at least jack around with getting the spare mounted outside of the trailer.
Like Steve I can't stay terribly long either......
Does anyone knows exactly where the trailer seems to be leaking from so that we can try to seal that up? I'm assuming from the windows?

Just bring a couple of tubes of caulk. We'll seal that puppy up tight! I can bring another caulk gun, but I won't have time to grab any more caulk.

While I've not eyeballed it myself, I've been told the trailer leaks because the water gutters on it had to be cut to put the windows in place. Some thin sheet aluminum and shears, in addition to caulk, might be in order...

We may have to bust out Howard's Garden hose and soak that bad boy.

10-4, I'll grab that and bring spare tire mounting stuff. I have crappy tin snips I'll bring along, no aluminum.
Figure on 9-9:15am by the time I make the trek over.

I know I've got the aluminum.
In a box.
Somewhere in my garage.
Somewhere.

So Eric and Charles and I cleaned out the trailer. Spend about 3-4 hours on it. Two large bags of garbage went, and a few other things ended up on Howard's trash pile (thanks, Howard). We took inventory, made a plan, and got started on trying to get things a bit more organized. Of course, it's not done, so we're looking at putting another day together to mess with it.
Exactly when remains to be seen, but we'd like to get 'r done before the Sept. event, if possible. So, if anyone missed out today and still wants to help out, claim a date now, 'cause as it stands nothing is scheduled, yet...

Since preliminary work has been done, trash/junk has been disposed of, and "we" have a good idea what needs to be done now (a rare set of circumstances), maybe have someone drag the trailer over to Ron's and we can gang-bang it before our awards gig?

It's a good idea, especially since if it still isn't done there still another weekend or two before the next event.

I won't be able to bring the trailer to the event. My wife has to have A/C these days, which the ole truck does not have.

I should be in as well, is anyone else coming that can make it a little earlier than 2pm?
After unloading it again I think we need a quick brainstorming session on items we want to mount/hang from the wall followed by a walmart/home depot run to buy some bins/hangers and get to work.
Eric already has a plan to mark the floor for no-brainer loading.

Well, how early do you want to get there? You let me know when, and I'll be there. Of course I'm only 5 minutes away. 8)

I'll say 11am.........bring your 2" ball mount so we can make sure it'll drop onto your truck without any drama since you are towing for the next event
