Thanks to all for another well run event. We really enjoyed the course. I loved the peanut.

Thanks for getting the results up so quickly. We never made it over to the timing trailer to see what was going on overall, so it was good to have our curiosity satisfied early :) .

Well, Drew, I thought I got you this time...at least I narrowed the margin. :) How's it feel to be turned into a Miata sandwich? (And well done, Chris, those bicycle tires are really working out for you).

great time.. co driving my car with somone is interesting.. makes the time really fly by.. also makes the car behave diff cause those tires were REALLY hot by my last run after ron beat on them so much :D ... maybe that helped me do the flashy finish to end my afternoon as i watch little cones disappear under my drivers side door
95' white miata m2 now .. M1 once the blower and new motor make it in the car

Jeremy updated the season points... looks like it's crunch time in several classes.

There will be some hard-fought battles for first, second and even third place.

I thought Brian beat all the other Mazdaspeed Miatas...

Good day and a very fun course. I could have been much faster but I just kept holding back for some reason, oh well. I can't wait for next month at SPC so I can get back into a groove of some sort.

I also have what looks like a grill cover for a VW or mini that was found on the course during tear down if anyone is missing one let me know.

What color was the cover? I noticed a piece missing from the green Mazda MX6(?) early in the day.

Black in a diamond pattern.

On another note... did anyone notice an oil smell or smoke during my runs (Orange mx-5 mazdaspeed) or in the grid? I thought I smelled something at one point and when I pulled in at work today my coworker gave me a look and I asked if he smelled oil too, and he did. A quick look isn't showing anything leaking but I'm also in dress clothes so I can't really get in under anything at the moment. As I'm like 50 miles out of warranty it'll wind up being the turbo taking a dump with my luck.

First run group... the red mazdaspeed miata was right before me, I believe Ron was driving that one, and was it Mike in the shelby going after me? I'm horrible with names I apologize. :(

I was the starter for the first run group and looked the cars over pretty good as they came to the line. I would have noticed a burning smell, and never saw any evidence of anything leaking from anyone.

Thanks Dave I'll have to look into it more because it's very sporadic and it's bugging me. When I first smelled it I thought I had spilled a little oil when changing it last week but that should have burned off by now and would be there all the time... Drain plug and filter are clean so I dunno. Anyway rambling done this is a post event thread. See you guys next month.
