Jamie,
Didn't you get a pm from me about this last week just after I registered and you asked me to confirm? This isn't the first time on this board that I (thought) I sent a pm that wasn't received.

Yeah, tell me about it. It's a feature that looks GREAT on paper, but sucks when you slap an electrical devise under something that pours out water when it goes bad. Brilliant! But, I'm sure GM is still loving that decision, based on what I've heard dealers charge people....blacksheep-1 wrote:oh yes..the optispark

I might have missed it -- was cleaning out my PM inbox with a machete last week. But the important thing is that we're grateful to have you tow the trailer!rojeho wrote:Jamie,

I do remember an issue with that, I believe the problem was on my side. My computer was getting piece meal upgrade fixes around that time.rojeho wrote:No problem, but it must just me and trailer pms. Same thing happened in Sept. when I was confirming with Brian before the event.
Anyhow thanks for towing it, and hopefully it will be much drier for you this time out.

Re: 13 November SPC
Getting into the last week of preregistration, it looks like this will be another full grid. Still could use a couple of volunteers for teardown...lots of people volunteering to get to the party early and get their work assignment out of the way...no one wants to stay after and clean up.
Last time, we had a pretty good crew out there, and it went very quickly. Could also use someone to take care of supplies, and if anyone wants to try and top Brian for lunch (although I don't think we'll be able to do BBQ this time!), put your name in! Last -- although I've had lots of people volunteer for timing, most of them have been in M2! I normally don't preload more than one person per class into any particular job -- makes it easier to work out the run groups -- but all the volunteer requests do show up on the spreadsheet. That said, there's only two people assigned to the trailer...did I say I could really use a couple of people for teardown?
Still looking at doing a 2-lap course for this one...still looking at ideas. Should have a map sometime the week prior to the event.
Psst...Brian...you need to register!

So, are you looking for timers? It's the one thing I have never done but would like to learn.
And +1 for the 2 lap thing.

I appreciate the way M2 is stepping up. If you want to spend part of your "off" shift in the trailer, we'll run you through the basics, so you're prepped to volunteer for the job next time.Jamie wrote:...although I've had lots of people volunteer for timing, most of them have been in M2! Re: 13 November SPC
Preregistration has filled, but will remain open for cancellations and additions until Thursday night at 10pm. We'll also take a limited number of walk-ons at the event -- know that lately we've had very few no-shows, and lots of walk-ons! Haven't had to turn down anyone yet, but it's been close -- get there early if you want a walk-on spot.
And we can still use a coule of people for teardown.

Re: 13 November SPC
So does anyone want to step up and handle lunch duties ?
We also need some course teardown workers as well; so whoever steps up and helps out after the event, I will buy you a beer or soda at Beef O'Brady's after the event !

Re: 13 November SPC
Diane could make the food run but she would either have to borrow a ride or unhook the pickup/trailer
If you put me in the last run group I could assist with teardown, then see you at Beef's

Re: 13 November SPC
Lunch isn't so much making the run to get it (many times, we have it delivered), but figuring out what's for lunch and arranging to make it happen.
You're on for teardown...since you're a class unto yourself, I can promise you a spot in the last group.
Thanks.

Assuming my car holds together after it moves under its own power, I can do supplies. I should know by this weekend, you can pencil me in for now.
