My dad can't afford the car.twistedwankel wrote:My dad loves driving my mazda,

I'll be payment free in 2 years versus 5 with the Z,
If you sell Dad the Miata you'll be debt free NOW.
and I don't know if my current roommate (ex-wife) will hang around to pay her part of the rent for the house.
I will never bitch at my son for continuing to live with his ex-girlfriend for rent money again.
So I decided to keep the mazda and see what the deal is in 2 years.
NO NO. If you want to really drive a 370Z coupe when I was at Mazda dealer today getting air in tires rotated + oil changed I saw a 2010 370Z with 15k, white with black interior (sweet) but auto.....so (like you can shift that fast) you can drive it to see if you still like them? Call Darren McKethan @ 800-542-5889 and he will show you some love for a real test drive. Ed Morse Mazda Dealer 10133 Rt 19 in Port Richey. email darrenmckethan@edmorse.com if you are speech impaired or a texter. Hint, hint = Mazda dealer took one in trade and you have a what? Duh.
If they still make the 370 I may buy it then or I may supercharge the mazda since there will be more reliability reports as to how they handle them long term.
Supercharging a newer Miata is like blowing into a balloon. It takes your breath away for only a few seconds and then you realize it's still a Miata and continue lusting after the "other car"...hahahaha = that makes you Chris Baron seeking the holy grail.
Bad news is $33,900 for a two year old car but it still has a factory warrantee. It was a trade in and not a flood victim.
So Chris. Go drive the snot out of the "used white car" then rethink all this $33,900 stuff. I know where there is a sweet 06 Z4 coupe for less than $19k which puts you "out of debt"........"no need for a balloon fantasy"......
**Even if you buy a new 370Z and move into S2 "The Boys" have all ready informed me of low cost 9.5" light rims which will hold 285mm meats for my 2004 'used' Rx8 with no payments....so why bother? What must those 2012 370z's cost? $40k? OMG.
Neither of your cars can be what the 370 is. And if I ever do get rid of my car, which I probably won't do for about another 6 years if I do at all (I tend to keep cars for about a decade), I'll have to see what car I think is the best at that time.Loren wrote:He wants a fast car, Jeremy.Jeremy wrote:Buy my S2000. $18,749.

Supercharger $6000 http://www.kraftwerksusa.com/product-de ... roductId=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;nc4me wrote:I was just joking anyway, my car is worth about $14K, I think. And I don't really want to sell it, but the parts are so expensive that it might make more sense to sell it than to try and make it fast.
What parts would you add to make it fast? I heard that the stock suspension is really good and that most aftermarket suspension parts really don't do much. So, are you talking about power mods or handling mods?
So you're doing what I'll most likely end up doing, adding a supercharger. Kraftwerks is supposed to be developing a kit for the NC currently.Jeremy wrote:Supercharger $6000 http://www.kraftwerksusa.com/product-de ... roductId=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;nc4me wrote:I was just joking anyway, my car is worth about $14K, I think. Coilovers $2400 http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merch ... e=35250005" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And I really want a hardtop too, those are $2500.
Stock s2000 suspension is pretty soft. Jack Neely put Moton's on his car and instantly started beating me. It was obvious when you watched our runs back to back.
So that's why I am driving Charles's car instead. My car will be paid off in a couple months and I am thinking about throwing some parts on it.
Jack never beat me, but his co-driver, John Ward did. Three times in a row. I almost beat him once, but I missed a shift, and it probably cost me a couple tenths, which I lost by.nc4me wrote: I don't know about the suspension thing. When Jack came to a FAST event with the motons on street tires, I beat him. So maybe you were just having an off day.

FAST has no limitation on wheel size in any class.yamaha731 wrote:1999 mustang completly stock for now...but after selling the firebird and buying the mustang I have money thats just waiting to be spent. If I put 17X10 rims on would that bump me from stock?
You sure you won't have to roll the fenders to make those meats fit? That might tip the scales on stock? The advantage of 10's over 9's is that you can roll lawns on off weekendsLoren wrote:FAST has no limitation on wheel size in any class.yamaha731 wrote:1999 mustang completly stock for now...but after selling the firebird and buying the mustang I have money thats just waiting to be spent. Read the rules. Nothing is keeping you from rolling fenders in stock. This ain't SCCA.twistedwankel wrote:You sure you won't have to roll the fenders to make those meats fit? The 'stang will happily fit 315s on 17x10 (rear) and 275s on 17x9 (front) without rolling the fenders. I think that is what Jeff G is running as streets.twistedwankel wrote:You sure you won't have to roll the fenders to make those meats fit? That might tip the scales on stock? Apparently not an issue for Chris anyhow. AND good to know with aftermarket offsets.Loren wrote: Read the rules. Nothing is keeping you from rolling fenders in stock. This ain't SCCA.
