Likes like there are going to be a lot of 86's out there! This will be my first event so I will probably be getting intimate with a few cones but you have to start somewhere. I have a motorcycle helmet that is full face, will that work? It is a relatively new HJC.

Our insurance only requires a "DOT" helmet. So, pretty much any motorcycle helmet is fine.

Yes, I've a feeling that this event must have been posted on a BRZ/FR-S forum, and they're an enthusiastic bunch!

Thanks for pointing that out. I skimmed right over that when I was looking for it.

I've canceled my registration but looking forward to the next event! There isn't one in August right? So, the next would be in September?

August will be a casual non-points event before we start our 2013-14 Championship season in September.

I did post it on ft86club.com but that was after the other 4 had signed up. I know a lot of people are buying this car for driving events so don't be suprised to see a lot of the twins/86's/toyobaru's/hachirokus's or any other name these cars are going by.

So good to hear people are all stoked about our events!

This one is coming together quite nicely. At this point we need to confirm that Ron will be the guy with the
timer and stuff. Also will need someone to plan to pick up the supplies we'll need. Anyone willing?

As many of you have heard my beloved Miata was struck down by a hit and run driver. This leaves me without a ride. I was going to pass on this event but Loren is talking me into keeping my perfect attendance award LOL.
Would anyone allow an old fart to bum a ride?

Rick,

If you need a vehicle you can co-drive mine, it will be just like driving yours... ;-)

I just got back from the Doctor... I defiantly have a concussion. Stupid ER didn't even run the tests. So I am going to reregister and we will see if it is okay next week.

Finish line in the middle of a 90 left - I like it.

Has this been 'officially' approved?

I wouldn't post an unapproved course. It's good to go.

The finish is one of our standard finishes, we just moved the timing lights back so that if anyone spins through that last turn, they won't hit the timer. Also gives more space for braking for the stop box.

By the way, if you think of anything on that course as a 90... you're doing it wrong. 8-)

I figured the placement was most likely to protect our equipment and address slowing cars down, especially at SPC. It will be interesting to see how many people spoil a good run because they hit cones after the timing lights.

We made the 240 suck less yesterday. Who's ready for a beatdown? Drew? Loren? Scott?

Bring it. Maybe I should ask John if he checked the tire pressures since May?

I haven't added air in 4-5 months so we are down to 28ish cold. Guess I'll fix that tomorrow before I load up.

The Lunch Bunch? Anyone bailing early?

Hi All.

Since I'm the Lunch Guy on Sunday I'd really appreciate knowing how many Morning people are NOT staying for lunch Sunday?

I hate wasting food BUT I hate even worse more trips to Walmart than I really have to make. Today I got totally grossed out by a woman (?) who's fanny filled an entire aisle in the freezer section, riding a storelimo, who asked me to hand her an icecream bag....aaaarrrrrrrg!!!! I had to do 20 walking laps in the store to work that off. Hit on by Fanny Farmer herself.

You can pm me if you don't want to fill up this topic. I didn't want to start yet another topic.

If I can save the club some money and avoid waste I'll do it.

Thanks all. AND yes there will be an awesome cool lunch again (thanks Steve and Drew) to match the awesome course. (I don't see any hidden images in this one.)
