I had mentioned to Drew and a couple others that FAST should buy a few of those "soft sided" six pack coolers. That way course workers could dump some ice and a couple bottles of water in them and take them out with them. Those coolers don't cost much, and wouldn't take up much room at all in the trailer. That would also eliminate having to stop the event to run water out to the course workers.
I enjoyed the course, I just sucked driving it.

When I have to work the course. I use the radio on hot days: "Hold the start." After someone makes a total mess or it's far away. It's up to the following driver to stop for downed cones we cannot reasonably get to. If he drives thru it I won't call the cones on them and they probably get a "great" time with the open hole.
No one can run for an hour in 100F other than a Kenyan Marathoner and live to tell about it.
BUT I can mow my lawn and change all four of my tires taking my time after 3pm. Like today:)

You don't want to hear this but I'll tell you anyhow
I got a phone call this last Monday after fixing my AC for $129 fuse. My newest 55 year old super fit investment broker died while riding his bicycle for fitness last weekend. Massive heart attack. Fell dead. Apparently his stock has fallen?
I think I'll continue to avoid
excessive exertion in the crazy heat forever. I cannot make this shit up.

Not to make light of your broker's death, but..
How many 55 year old super fit brokers have you had?
You might have a fetish.

Most of them were Kenyan Marathon runners before becoming my broker. In it for the long haul.
I've gone back to online brokerages now. There is no emotional involvement there.
Kind of like autocrossing. Screw the guy who dies chasing the cones you knocked over getting your jollies.
