Obviously Jamie has his act together, fixed something broken or got an alignment?
Rob is well rested from the summer. Loren has a tire warmer

You didn't highlight my 47.6, Doug.
I need to find some front camber to keep from killing my front tires. The rest of the car is happy until I'm ready to spring for wider wheels and tires.

Oops. That's weird I bolded it but it didn't take? Well don't be too disillusioned if the bigger slows you down. So far I'm disappointed with the new RS3 255's on 9" rims compared to the well worn 245 Dunlops.
Then I was told to run more psi in the RS3 ver 2's. I'm faster running less psi. Crap. I need a C5

Or just start driving Shamu again.

Les, you probably need a new battery. My old car had no alternator and I could go a whole weekend with two drivers without a problem. I used to run a deep discharge optima blue top. Good for about three seasons even though it would get almost fully discharged on occasion.

Who told you to run more PSI? Probably someone not running RS3's
I've always bled down PSI and usually get faster as PSI drops/tires heat up.

Hey les there is guy from my cbr600rr forum and his company is called tripage, he makes some deep cycle superlight batteries as he does a ton of led and lighting mods for bikes and he's in Clermont I think, he makes the batteries to whatever spec you need I think and the price was not bad. The newer 600rr's have a charging issue where I hey don't charge if you run both headlights. A lot of the guys Do that all the time and the battery just drops dead out of the blue. his batteries supposedly accept the minimal charge better and keep a charge so long it takes care of the issue. Might be worth a look

A competitor in C Street of course

....I agree with your comment.

I run 40 psi in my RS3's. Keep them at 42 psi after they warm up. Seem to be working for me. 47.4

Thanks Mike.
I used to run my Ver1 245x18 at 41F-37R hot.
These 255x17's are not rolling over much @ 37F-34 hot so I figured to keep going down. Was told they have a softer sidewall than ver1 so sounds like you are experiencing that.
I'll try the higher pressures again. Can always let some air out later:)

Doug, I can't feel a difference in sidewall between versions. RS-3's have softer sidewalls than some...but not that soft.
Keep in mind your car is significantly lighter. R-S3's seem to love camber.
Also, what kind of camber do you run? They will benefit from camber.
FWIW, my BMW (easily 3200lbs car) ran 255/40/17's with -3 degrees upfront and -2 in the back. I found the sweet spot was around 32 psi.
My STI is around 3400lbs and likes around 36 psi. I have -2.4 up front with -1.7 in rear. Oh yeah, that's on 245/40/18's, too. More weight, less tire FTW.

Simply put I should have spent more time doing test an tune before a "real event".
I think I drove merely okay the last time in the cold morning air while Jamie basked in the sun later
More to follow:

Here are some videos. They mostly only show the start of a run because I was low on camera space.

Must have been the massive torque advantage I have out of the turnaround.

Why did my number show up as 2x in this event? It's 1337. Nobody else uses that number.

Afternoon #s now get a '20' prefix, so we can do away with the even/odd AM/PM requirement. 2X because 201337 wouldn't fit, I guess.

Yeah, the computer choked on 6 digits. But, otherwise, it worked.
