Nice driving, you gave that "wee little" Miata a good workout. Both you and Mark looked great, S4 just stepped it up a level.

Mark has definitely stepped it up a few notches!!! We are giving our new tires a workout. I still need to find the limit of my new star specs.

For a 100-car autocross, it's more typically 8+ hours of standing around. FAST is the only club around here that gives you that kind of experience for an investment of only 4-5 hours of time due to the split format of our Open events.

This particular event wasn't up to OUR standards. We'd have liked to have the shorter start interval that Steve mentioned, and that would have allowed us to get in 5 runs and not run late. But, aside from that and a couple of random timing glitches... I heard nothing but compliments all day long. And not just from our regulars or from new people who don't know any better... from experienced autocrossers who are coming to us with decades of experience from other clubs. So, while we'd have liked to have not had the few flaws that this event had, it was still a solid event. Jamie's comment is spot on. 8-)

I'm looking forward to the next Classic event. Hope to see y'all there!

Brian, good thing you like my avatar... The Fit is my DD workhorse so there is little room for lightening it.
Sat I was on the old struts still; the Tokiko HTS pair goes in 2morrow. Loking forward to playing with the settings.

You'll note that Drew is happily married. Brian is not. I think it's learned survival skills.

There's the pot calling the kettle black... Yes, I can usually tell the difference, with the key word being "happily". Nonetheless, the compliment is deserved: I like to demonstrate that girls (even the tomboy-types) do notice the difference, and we appreciate the attention given to subtle steering inputs.

Even with the snags I had a really good time. It just shows you that FAST runs great events.

I believe the settings on the timing display were off because it cleared my time before I hit the stop box. That is probably just a switch setting on the display, but it did not bother me enough to want to bother the obviously busy guys in timing.

Unfortunately, there is no setting for end-of-run time persistence. (or there might be if we ever get around to sending the timer box in for a firmware update, but there isn't now) We've been wanting to change that since we first got this system!

Season Points are updated. Only two events left in the season. There are still some solid points battles going on!

So if I hang on to win M2, will I be the first to win a class without an actual event win? lol.

My strategy consists of hoping Chris and Sean don't show up to any more events.

What a great way to start a Saturday. That was a really fun course and the change from the Brooksville concrete to the TBD asphalt made it even more fun.

I wish I had been able to stick around for the whole day. Thanks to everyone that makes these events great! (That means you, and you, and you over there...)
