There's less to that than meets the eye. I keep the car clean -- not concours clean, but clean enough that if there's something leaking or broken, it'll be obvious. I'm religious about routine maintenance. I do my own oil changes in large part because it's a chance to get under the car and look at other things that may be wrong. Things that will fail catastrophically I replace on a schedule, like the timing belt. Everything else stays on until it breaks -- I never got around to replacing front sway bar end links on the Prelude until the end link bushings fell out on one side.

I probably should replace suspension bushings and motor mounts on both cars, but there's no metal-to-metal noise, and they
look OK from underneath.... But that's about it.

That's not much of a book.
I think maybe you wrote the pamphlet. Maybe a leaflet.

It's 2015. You should upgrade to a white board.

Four letter word which reminded me of why some cars suddenly got faster the last event:
"Drew" - 3/32" or less with RS-3's they will last forever but are harder than Hillary's balls.
If anyone wants my old 255/40/17" RS-3's pm me and I'll have the tire changers save them for you. They are fine except they are slower than S4 which is really, really bad for me. Not yet on the wear bars!!

Finally got around to updating the
Season Points. Nothing too exciting this early in the season. Anything could happen!

Concerning Season Points: Two things I noticed , 1) you may wanna update the doc to say 2015/2016 Championship 2) Mike Murdoch was a DNS on 10/10 right, S3 is rough this year, can't be giving away Points

Mike moved to CA so that's all the breaks you guys get this year.

Thanks, Nate. I'll make those changes. They'll show up in the next update.

The course was wet after the rain in the first run group and I couldnt find grip or speed. Not that I am a fast driver by any stretch of the imagination, but I was also a bit perplexed by the course. Apparently I was providing Loren (and others probably) some amusement by messing up the wall of cones after the long sweeper, then the "hidden" straight. I even walked the course three times!!!
Nice pictures Phillip, you always have a great eye for making my Datsun look like a superhero. And Red Baron Racing, I enjoyed the pictures of the car like the engine and the big red brakes (+5 rwhp). Thanks much for the free use of them. I still email the original and second owner pics and they love seeing the Z live on and how much fun I am having with Rusty.
I did have a great time and it was good to see some familiar faces and meet some new folks. You cant beat autocrossing in the morning and then Publix fried chicken and bench-racing for lunch, followed by driving home for some cold beers and a nap! Anyway, beat the hell out of yard work...

Nate,
You need to talk to Drew about your Foxbody.
Way too much wrenching going on there.
You NEVER see Drew wrenching. He doesn't even know what a left handed monkey wrench is. His car sat so long in the same spot between events a tree limb fell on it.
If you get desperate. I'll co-drive your car as I was only 42 when it was built
Shamu being a vert had a factory X brace in the front and special boxes at the rear + a much lower center of gravity than the GT or LX coupe.
Also the 86 AOD was much faster to 60 than any stick (6 seconds) as it had a lower 3.27 diff ratio and crazy torque with it's bastard heads only used one year. Also the FI computer used from 86-87 was in my opinion superior to the 88 and on. But then what do I know I only won S3 events a few times

AND that Drew guy has an 87!! Ask him. He will share.
And so it goes. Torque is King. What is Queen? A really great gay singing group.

Doug,
thanks for the tips, I do talk to Drew.
Wrenching? Yeah the stang seems to be purging all the remaining 27 yr old parts... As for handling upgrades, the stuff is coming bit by bit when I can afford it. However, mainly I need to work on my driving, I'm not consistently practicing/developing good technique.
Anywho, don't mind the slow start this season, I'm getting that darn t-shirt and this time it will say #1
