I am sorry I'm going to miss this course. (And I'm really sorry not to be beating Philip on this course!)

I could be bribed to run your car in S4 to give Philip a challenge. :snicker:

OK, if my math is right, I need to win to make it a 1v1 battle for the last event ( 52 Jamie / 51 Me ). If I place 2nd ( 48 points ) then I'll need help to win the championship.

A bevy of tiny violins is tuning up for Philip if he doesn't "squeak" by to win the top tee shirt in the next two events. I for one think he will choke the chicken and cone EVERY run for the next two events no matter what tires he runs. Physics will win in the end.

Well now I will hit cones. But only if you are working that corner station

I'm not counting on that...I've seen him drive, and physics doesn't enter into it. At least not the kind I learned!

This will be a crazy competitive event. M2 has pretty much all the high rollers showing up for our viewing pleasure.

With 21 early run experienced FN runners in Late session there should be plenty of rides available to learn the course for those in doubt.

Philip is going to run with tires wrapped in electrician's tape to try and win S4 since Jamie is out of town and he doesn't feel threatened.

Glad to see our old friend Nate back with the Blue Whale. Always fun to watch them duke it out in F3 with those Foxbodies. Your consolation will be that Brian beat me by 3 seconds when we co-drove his Shelby clone last time. :bangwall: If you can stay closer than that in your old cars you will get my :notworthy: :salute:

The REAL contest I won't see since they run in the Early heats will be the "skinny" wide body Prius GT3 vs the Hemi Jeep in S0. I assume one has a lock on MPG but the other has a lock on AWD and torque on the sometimes sandy surface in the early morning couple of runs.

This course looks like a Contessa riding on a man's shoulders to me.

The level of detail on this map tells me Loren could make a living laying out subdivisions. :thumbwink:

You won't be missing much. The Prius is completely stock, a first timer, and placed in the wrong class. But hey, at least I got someone new to sign up to try out Autocrossing for their first time.

I'll probably fix that classing at some point.

He can't afford to slack off too much...Jason is bringing his NB out again. I could come home and find myself with a better margin going into July....

Also, Tyler will have real tires and 4 other people that want to win. Also, last time I raced at TBD I was super slow until Jamie gave me some pointers. M2 will be fun to watch but I'm curious who will set FTD.

Too bad, my imagination was tweeked!! Good for you rallying a new comer. (I assumed an error but was fun to dream of such a duel taking place.)

I just spent the last 2 weeks learning how Philip trains for an event:

I drove nothing but a Wrangler ragtop in RWD and a GMC AWD SUV over twisty MA cold roads. The first sharp entry ramp I took accelerating the SUV leaned so far it sort of scared me with a load of kids in the car. Didn't see that coming. Go bump stops. Do NOT lift. I forgot all my cars have a low center of gravity, grippy tires and good handling. It doesn't help that sitting up high gives you a false sense of speed. Oops. So there you are. Want to drive on the bump stops like Philip does? Go practice with any off road vehicle for a couple weeks on some twisty asphalt with trees right next to the road.

Yea, I think at some point Jason got a new lightened windscreen too.
