You are free to run my car but it might not be enough for S1 even with your skill.Rpwolf wrote:Good news, the clutch is in, the car is on the road!

Well I replaced my rear left wheel bearing. It started failing after the Endurocross and it's the second time I've had to replace that particular bearing in about four years.
I should be good to go for Sunday.

Oh, so you're planning to replace the other side this Saturday starting about 10pm, then?

Thanks guys, this whole clutch thing has had me down for a week now. I appreciate everyone's offer, if I do I'll make sure it's fun runs only
Good mews? I think the clutch is broken in now.
Bad news: I'll have to drop the oil and see if there's any metal in it. If so, probably needs a new midshaft needle bearing. If not, it's probably the pressure plate and I'll have to drive to Dixie and pray I don't break anything.

Why do people with AWD computer cars care about weather? Yet they seem to hide from it? Must be the sugar glazing wax. Should be almost a guaranteed 1st place against most 2wd race cars in the same heat. These Rally cars were built for dirt and mud as I recall.
BTW: Poncho's are much better in FL rain/wind than sunshades. (nice video tho')

Not necessarily. Rain chances have just spread out and reduced for our particular location. And forecasts are worthless outside of 48 hours anyhow.CaptainSquirts wrote:Looks like it will most likely be raining throughout most of the day. Umbrellas out boys!

Since I've been running in R1 all season - in theory the ONLY advantage I would have is that straight line of open water tread on fat 100wear tires. I got thumped by someone early on who left their Hoosier 40wear car on the trailer and borrowed a new Gerry rigged full tread Miata (which he put into the grass on the 2nd run) just to get a 2nd place sticker after the one guy who ran in the AM in the dry. Hmmmm. So I have options/living close by to bring a car at the last minute with WD tires and run R1. Nah. If the guys in R1 want an advantage in the rain they can run their tow vehicles with AS tires. I will continue to run what I brung under it's own power w/ street race tires and I have yet to finish last.
Sunday there are only 3 of us in R1 running together so that record might get totally smashed:( But I'll still get 3 pts for showing up in last place AND a sticker:)
Since there are fewer people running in the AM than normal can we start at Noon again?
