I was gonna just drive with Ken. But, I can whore around a little bit.

If your driving is any indication, your car oversteers.

A friend of mine would like to come as a guest, but put off registering and it's now closed. Is there any possibility he could still register, being that he's not driving and won't mess up the run groups/work assignments?

It's an open site, guest registration is not required.

Ah OK, I wasn't sure if he'd be allowed by the paddock without registering.

Maybe I'm looking at things wrong but I plan on taking a much different line than what the map shows for the 2nd 180. Is this Lauren trickery or am I off base?

Other than to show where the course goes, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the lines on the map. The important thing to remember about TGT is that the pavement isn't flat, so any line you draw on a flat map may be modified by the pavement's slope.

That, and actual setup may not match the map exactly.

The line on the map is there for one reason, and one reason only: To show you which way the course goes. If you think that we're intentially trying to give you the perfect "racing line", you are very much mistaken. Following the line on the map merely keeps you on course.

Sometimes I manipulate the line for my own entertainment. Sometimes I DO give away the racing line, and nobody catches it. And sometimes it just looks better on paper one way vs. another. Pay no mind to it. Choose your own line based on your course walk!
