I loved the course. It was set up much better than the last time we ran it. I know I could have picked up some time if I had set up better for the crossover and carried more speed through it. Wasn't looking far enough ahead.
I'm glad to be back in my M2 Miata even though I don't stand a chance at the podium. I have more stickers than I need from S5 anyway, and there ain't no shame in losing to the top guys in M2.
Going back a few pages:
Once you do, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. I disconnected mine after a morning session last year and it was a completely different car in the afternoon.

I couldn't help but notice the crazy Halloween Miata Spyder that was leaving the morning session as we came in.
Great job Sally. Had to take some real time to do that. Philip will have some pix for sure later on/

Big thanks to my spotters, with some of the grass cut down it was a bit nicer but we still ran into a snake. This album should have a shot of every car. This has been a goal of mine to do that and still run in my run group so that was fun. The course was great but I had trouble with it at the start. Really had to go back to basics, look ahead, slow in, fast out, etc.

Philip got a cool video of Dan's 2nd run in the Mirage.
Hey, Dan, you tipped a cone at the 26-second mark! (oh, and you sploded tha engine at about the 39-second mark
)
Seriously, though... the stupid car gets around okay! Well, it used to. And it will get around even better soon! More power, less flywheel mass, better brakes... and more tire.

I was happy with the balance with the stock bar intact until I rotated the tires... I waited way too long and now the front has so much more grip than the rear that it's super tail happy which caught me by surprise. I lowered the rear pressures and it got a little better so hopefully dropping the rear bar will bring it back to where it was before...Blue_Heron wrote:Going back a few pages:jaball77 wrote: I think I'll disconnect the rear sway bar for the next event.

So, I only did the first two runs in my car this event, before this awesome course found new limits in my tire to fender clearance.
Thank you Rob for letting me finish my runs in your car! Dude we need to tame the rear of that beast. A massive adjustable front swaybar is in order.
Thanks for the pics Philip!
Joe V, were you scared? Lol
