Hmmmmm, looks like two halves of two different courses we've had. Looks like 3rd gear is on the menu.
good point, we should account for the maturity of the driver, you are not allowed to go faster than your age.
I should strive for that, but it'll be tough....Bigdog wrote:good point, we should account for the maturity of the driver, you are not allowed to go faster than your age.
So that gives the mayor a winning chance for once in S1Bigdog wrote:good point, we should account for the maturity of the driver, you are not allowed to go faster than your age.
Whoa! Gloves are off!aw614 wrote:So that gives the mayor a winning chance for once in S1
Assuming I don't hit any cones and am able to find my white cane. Still waiting for bifocal windscreen to come in. I did buy some really cheap new Federal tires. 1/2 the price and 9/10 as fast? I'll take the cheapest route every time. Saturday will be the first event on them to burn off the mold release compound. Will be more interesting at least than the 2 year old Stones. I hope we get 5 runs again as they need a good heat cycle. I only put 100 slow miles on them to set the cords so far. Car is on the trickle charger for 2 weeks - me too.aw614 wrote:So that gives the mayor a winning chance for once in S1Bigdog wrote:good point, we should account for the maturity of the driver, you are not allowed to go faster than your age.
The only noise caused by RSRR (Really Slick Roundy Rounders) Federals is the moans of the competition as you drive by them. Or so I'm told by the older fellows. Unlikely I'll get beat by 4.7 seconds again this season. I know all they can do now with their tire warmers, alignments and the best of everything in their new cars. It's a grey area. Carl hooked me up with tires. Might have to go visit Joe again for an alignment now that he has a Vette too.markzeronine wrote: I heard they're loud as hell but 400 for a set of 4, had to give them a shot
Kind of a modest bitch slap. I didn't feel it yet. When we look at the overall results next Saturday and M gets thumped by a whole bunch of S cars we will laugh. M&M's melt in your mouth not in your hands. Remember? You should have married a Ball Player. Bring your best game.Loren wrote:Whoa! Your ass will be sore if you end up behind me. Then the noise will be very loudaw614 wrote:probably as loud as the kumho v720s, bad wheel bearing loud
Just keep showing up and be a "member". Old farts have some use.Evil MS3 wrote:Ugh. This plane stuff is concerning. If we get pushed out of there it's gonna suck.

The RSRRs are very very loud. I run them and daily with them between autocross. They sound like a cross between an airplane propeller and a bad wheel bearing. My times don't reflect their grip, but overall they've done me well.markzeronine wrote: Tue Feb 05, 2019 7:05 pm Rsrr? I just bought the same to do the odd events I'll run my s2000 this season, a roadtrip to nc and track days.. can't justify doing those with a new set of re71rs, I'll have to buy those again next season. I heard they're loud as hell but 400 for a set of 4, had to give them a shot
