Couple of volunteers still needed - Course teardown positions are available, and we'll need the marble dust from Allen's (2 - 50lb. bags).

As I said around 2 weeks ago, put me down for whatever :)

Although preferably not the dust pickup, that's no where close to me...

I'll see if I can find my old magnetic police bubble light for the top of the boat. It's about as close to a Crown Vic as we'll probably have. ;)

Just as a reminder to folks, we can do walk-on registrations for this event, so if for some reason you can't or don't preregister, a limited number of spaces will be available that morning on a first-come, first-served basis.

The SPC registration and liability forms for this event have been posted for downloading on the website. Get 'em now and save some time at sign-in that morning!

Find 'em at the bottom of this page.

Class G

Something has come up and I won't be at the event on the 17th. I was really looking seeing how the new engine, lightweight flywheel, etc. would run but it won't be this month. :(

I'm hoping someone else can step forward to tow the trailer. If not, I will drop it off Saturday morning and then pick it up again in the afternoon.

but more important than a course map:

Bill is a trooper in the truest sense, and has largely single-handedly (well, his wife, anyway  ), towed the trailer for literally years now. Last weekend he was so ill that he slept during the event for several hours while waiting to be able to tow it home.

He totally means that he'll come through next weekend even though he can't compete and would have to make two trips - but can someone save him the hassle, please?

I made a commitment to get the trailer there. I didn't say how.

If I can convince someone else to tow it instead then I have met the commitment. Otherwise I will get the trailer there myself.

I can probably tow it, I might just find a place to crash in St Pete though, I'm not a person that wakes up easily. I could tow it to Brandon friday night I guess...

Either way, the Grand Marquis has a class IV hitch on it, it should easily tow that trailer if I put the OEM rear wheels and tires on it.

Want me to ask SPC if we can leave it there Friday night? Tow it there instead of Brandon and back?

Fine with me.

Someone send me howards info, I'll swap the rear wheels over this week and drive the boat to work on friday then head over after work to get the trailer. I can then take it to SPC or Brandon.

2" ball right? that should be what's in the mount, I'll check tomorrow.
