In case anyone missed it. The date of the school has been moved to February 20th, with a regular points race on the 21st.
So now that a month worth of planning time has been cut out of the equation. Please feel free to volunteer as an instructor or a course worker for this event. I know the holidays are already here and if you need to wait till after the new year to respond that's fine.
Of course, a good informative school, is only as good as its curriculum and instructors. So I would greatly appreciate it, if all you more experienced guys, would really make an effort to block your schedules on February 20th and volunteer to instruct.
ALSO, a good informative school, can only take advantage of its curriculum and instructors if it's run smoothly and worked well. So I would also greatly appreciate it, if any of you guys that are willing to do course work, would really make an effort to block your schedules on February 20th and volunteer to work.
Thank you and happy holidays.

I'll instruct, and if nobody else wants to do the classroom portion, I'll do that. It's not difficult, but it does take a little patience to go over the same stuff 4 times in one day... and come up with different stuff to say in the afternoon for 4 more times all without glossing over seemingly mundane, but important information.

Thank you Loren, Steven, and Dave for volunteering to instruct. I was worried there wouldn't be to many people wanting to, so I started to fire off pm's, but you guys beat me to it.
Loren you can have the classroom part for sure. I know most people don't like speaking in front of others, so it's all yours.
Once again thank you.
People please don't forget we need course workers. The school can't run without you. So if you want to contribute to FAST and receive a couple of event credits for doing so, please volunteer.

Can you work the course as well as attend the school?

Attend it and you will see.
On a more helpful note: for the school, we take groups of about a half-dozen drivers and match them with a couple of instructors. They spend the day working through several driving exercises related to features you find on an autocross course -- one's a slalom, one's a couple of skidpads, one's a set of tight switchback turns, and one's a classroom session. So the students get some concentrated seat time with instruction, instant feedback, and a chance to practice specific maneuvers rather than just taking a whack at the course.
Chris -- if you still need instructors, I'll do it again.

Nope. Students are "in class" all day. From about 8am until 5pm. That's why it's such a great value at $60!

Oh, I hate speaking in front of people! But, I can handle small groups, especially when I'm comfortable with what I'm talking about and am prepared for it. Our "classroom sessions" are more informal "round table discussions". That format works well.
Anyway... yeah. Be sure I have a white board, a laminated course map (we should have one already if you're using the same course), and a couple dry-erase markers. I'll handle the rest.

So far 6 confirmed instructors with one more possibly on the way. I love how everyone here is quick to volunteer and help out.
However, we do need course workers. If there's anyone out there, whether it's yourself or a member here that you know, that would like to get 2 event credits and my undying gratitude for volunteering. Please tell them to post here or pm me. Like I said,"We can't have an event without course workers".

I think I left my whiteboard with the trailer, so just keep it with the trailer until then.

Woohoo. My seventh instructor is on board, but we still need more.
Thanks Eric, for volunteering for course work.
Seven instructors...very good considering the short time frame. One course worker......still not to bad considering it's the holidays and I just started asking for volunteers yesterday.
