Steven, you're correct. We left it at 1 dropped event.

Yes that is correct !

Eric thanks for the great pictures ! Steve e-mailed me this pic    I'm getting a lot more grip now with the D-specs, but I didn't think that much, now if I can just put my car where it belongs instead of just being a passenger, I might be able to give Loren a run for his money. :D

That's a FUN photo, Brian!

I vow to help my competition in J as much as they want... at least until they start kicking my ass. :P

Great event guys, thanks from an almost novice, you run fun events. Can anyone here point me to someplace in the Tampa area with a good selection of helmets that I can try on, I need one that fits.

I'll have the rest of the video's on here tomorrow. Just a little issue downloading from the camcorder. The car cam card made these easy.

Mary doing a great job in her Stalker: 48.678 clean

My best run: 47.121clean. OK,... but NOT Charles Caliber!! Congrats on the FTD Charles.

Yeah, and even better is timely attendance. Almost everyone was onsite by 8:30, which really helped keep the morning moving smoothly and helped with a good starting time! Thanks everyone!

Thanks, glad to know you enjoyed it!

I don't know of really any auto racing shops that stock many helmets - Motorcycle shops will have the best selection locally, and if you don't need/want an SA-rated helmet, local purchase can save you shipping costs...this is a topic that comes up periodically, here and on other forums. Try searching "helmet" here, or on tamparacing.com in their autocross/roadracing subforum, maybe on tampabaymiatas.net...

I owe a lot of thanks to Jamie to helping me out with running the event. I'm so happy it went smooth and everyone enjoyed it.

Great event. Steve was rocking the Hawaiian shirt and I think he was the first car under 50 seconds.
Proving the point that Hawaiian shirts help you drive FASTer.

Thanks to Jeremy for the ride along instructional rides. You don't have to be a novice to benefit from an instructional run.
I'd also like to mention that the Novice walk was one of the 2 best I have been on. The other was led by Gary Meredith.

Of course, Congrats to Charles on the FTD.

Oh, And I was going to follow a Red Corvette back to town on I-75, but he blew the doors off my Boxster when he passed me....
and I had to go back to pick them up. :)

I want to post up here the few runs that Steve "Mr. Hawaiian" rode/instructed with me was worth about 5 seconds. Thanks to all of you for making it fun for novices, that is why to have 60 entries.

Racequip on HWY 60 in Tampa has helmets you can try on, and for $228 (if I recall correctly) you can have a Helmet allowed in track racing.

Thanks for the video, Scott.

The link to Phillipes video was copied wrong. It brings up marys twice. Here's the correct link:

There's no way I got that 47.xxx!

I agree that my time got mixed up with someone else's.

It was my first time driving an S2000 and that thing was hell to tame. I would need far more practice to learn how to drive that type car.

It's gotta be a strut car, in which case lowering does nothing. Not everyone has awesome suspension like us. :)

They make these in his size. I have heard good reviews about a year ago.

I drove on a set of HRZ IIIs before picking up my current Star Specs. They are good tires for the money. When I was running them, Loren said I shouldn't be able to drive as fast as I was on those tires. :D
