Drew and I will both be there early. Most of the work prior to the timer and computer actually showing up is simply stringing cables -- not difficult to direct.

FWIW, another trend going on this month is surprisingly wishful thinking in some of the assignment requests...as in requesting an assignment that's already been full for a couple of days. Registration seems to to be popular this month. I encourage people to check the list when they sign up -- I update it whenever I clear the mailbox (usually every evening).
Jamie,

If you want to spread the love I see Starter has an opening. I will give up my Registriation position if someone wants it and take Starter. Either is fine for me.

Everything else seems to be coming together nicely!
Speaking of Kenny G, we only have one timing cable in the trailer. Two are MIA, two strung together on a roller, and one single strand by its self. I'm hoping Kenny has both sets, as I know one needed some tending to.

Actually, you're more useful at registration...I can find people to work as starters.

OH that looks like a whole lotta fun right there! I see a couple of tricky/trouble spots right off the bat. I like a challenge though...

It's all in your head, man. You're not going more than maybe 5mph faster at Brooksville than you will on this course...

Assuming you drive this course correctly. 8)

I agree with Loren, the only real difference between Brooksville and SPC is the overall course length. Speed is very close to the same. Time for better brake pads so you can go deeper into the corner. 8)

I'm in for this one.

I'm up for taking a shot at trailer/timing set-up if you're still looking to get some different people experienced in other job categories. Just let me know how early to be there.

Awesome, Ron!

I guess Steve and I are tag-teaming Safety.

I think lunch is covered.

What about supplies? Did anyone ever volunteer for that? What do we need besides lots of cold and wet stuff?

Is there still a fresh bag of marble dust in the trailer?

58 drivers registered, should be a solid event!

How does supplies work? I imagine somebody has to transport a whole lot more ice, beverages, etc than a Miata will hold. Yes, no?

Even the distance isn't always all that different -- depends on the course. Brooksville just looks longer because it's stretched out.

7am. Thanks.

Up to 63, now. Sam's bringing the A4 back up that weekend. 3400 lbs of AWD on crap tires...should be interesting. :)

Um, you guys are crazy with the Brooksville=SPC thing.

Anyone want to make a wager on the average speed of this course versus the next Brooksville event? I am willing to bet the difference is greater than 10mph.

We are good on marble dust. One bag in the trailer, and I've got a second bag at the house that I'll be bringing along.

Jamie,

You can put me down for supplies. I can load up the wife's sedan with water, soft drinks, ice, paper towel, whatever is necessary.
