I agree. 6 runs is the max that I want to do in one stint, be it driving or working the course.

Split runs groups are so much better for a variety of reasons, provided you are planning on doing 6 or more runs.

I know...did not just fall off the turnip truck....
I know ya didn't. This discussion was more for the rookies, of which we have plenty. Most people who haven't chaired more than a few events don't think a lot about these things and why we do what we do the way we do it.

Jamie, have you seen the course Mike chose? It's a re-do of an old course from SPC, I'm not sure from when - two cross-overs, early, but it looks to me like the interval between runs is gonna be longer as opposed to shorter. Just FYI.

Ron was gonna post it, but I'm not sure if he has a website to host the graphic from...

If it's the one I think it is, the plus side is that it's a longer course than you typically get out of SPC. So, fewer runs due to a long start interval... but longer runs and an interesting course.

From a safety standpoint, the finish on that one bugs me. Tinkering with some ideas to present to Mike and Ron...there's time.

And yes, more people will be greatly appreciated. Quicker setup too.
I'll still be there for set up, and will help reset the course afterwards, and if I'm still going to be assigned to another work assignment I'll vollenteer for Grid or Start. I don't mind helping out wherever I can, I just don't want to chase cones. :D

Three weeks from today!

I now have a gas container, in my garage (!), labeled "100 octane only" that is waiting for this event.

Am I being retarded for thinking about selling the S2000 and getting an MR2 Turbo instead? hmph.

Anyways, see you all in 3 weeks!

so far we have 67 registered. I though we were going to limit SPC to 60 because of the small size?

Early in the year we figured we were running smoothly enough that we could handle an extra 10 entrants, so the last couple of SPC events have been at 70. I got a note in the FAST drop box this week that we still note a 60-car limit on the FAST website...was going to mention that to Loren this weekend.

No-shows will also lower the amount of actual people running a little bit also.

Preregistration for this event is officially FULL -- the only walk-ons we'll be able to take are to replace no-shows. We'll maintain a wait list at registration and offer up any empty slots at 9:30.

Just to clarify, I'm assuming that we are rounding displacement to the nearest tenth then multiplying correct?

Yes. And rounding the answer to the nearest tenth.

Well I just traded the 2005 Mustang for a 2000 Audi TT Quatro 1.8 turbo (180 bhp Variant) It should move me from Class F into class G but I have already scored points in Class F and would like to finish out there unless there are any big complaints. My understanding from previous post are that I can compete in a class that is higher than my car actually is so I hope there is no conflict.

(you never know what can happen I COULD WIN ALL THE REST.... lol)

also any word on a final course design?
