I haven't publicized this mainly just because I've got plenty of other things to do in preparation for this event (such as finishing the course map), but I have an unofficial wait list for this event with two names on it already. You want on it, Matt? (hint: I have control of the canceled slots, muahahahaha)

That's great, Eva. Very much appreciated! Hopefully one of the event chairs will see this so they know to whom to give the list...

Great Eva.
The Publix is one mile from the TBD and opens at 8am. There is a Hess mart corner of Race Track Rd and Walmart is a couple miles west on Hillborough. I'm sure Loren remembers what was left from before or I put it in the last event after notes. I recall alot of regular coke and sprite? Don't think there was much if any water left. Ice will be like 60lbs for starters + 6-10 cases of water.
Feel free to take advantage of "sales" to pick up sodas and water anytime and just save receipts for Steve. I have a vegetarian option for lunch that day lined up.

It's the lost art of proper English!! Avoided the dangling preposition and used the proper objective case, my oh my.

Thanks, Eva. I'm starting (okay, continuing) work on the run/work list tonight.
Or should I finalize the course map first?
Decisions, decisions.

Well this is BS, my "myautoevents" just notified me by e-mail ,today, June 4th that there is an event Scheduled for June 15th, You would think they would also notify me at the same time it's filled up as well. Technology sucks, I guess I have to visit this site every day to make up for it.

This has been announced many times before:
If you want an email notification when registration OPENS for each and every event so that you can get registered early, all you have to do is go to the home page of our website, look in the right sidebar, and sign up for "Event Reminders" just like 98 others have done to date.
Even that is no guarantee that you'll get in, though. You need to act on that email quickly, as sometimes our events (especially when we do a 75-car event like this one) fill up within 24 hours. The technology is not at fault, the popularity of our club is. Sign up for Event Reminders, be quick to register, be happy.
FYI, the email you just got came from "me", not "they", and it was intended for people who have entered the event. You got it because at some point in time you clicked the "add this event to my calendar" button on MyAutoEvents, which got you on the notification list for the event. (a fact that was mentioned in the email)

I thought I did that, there are 2 notification types, 1 for FAST and one for MYAUTOEVENTS?

Yes.
Aside from relying on everyone to "add to calendar" every single event, which I wouldn't expect them to reliably do, MAE doesn't give us any means to email a group of people to say "hey, registration is open". That's why we created our own email notification for anyone who cares to subscribe to it.
The flip side, if we want to email all of the registered entrants for an event, MAE is great for that. It has everyone's email that they used to register and I can email them all with a single click. (with the catch that people who aren't registered but have "added to calendar" also get that email, and I inevitably hear about it from somebody)
Would be nice if we could just exclusively use the forum to communicate, but I know that doesn't reliably reach everyone. (email doesn't either, for that matter)
