Finally got around to putting a tune on the Miata. So now I can go 60mph in 2nd gear instead of 56! And I have like 4 more HP. And I've replaced the bushings on my swaybar! So watch out!

A few more MPH in second is a very useful thing.

And a novice is thrilled just to stay on course, go faster by their 5th run, drives a questionable car and hopes to not finish DFL.

Time to make some improvements? Shocks? Wider wheels and tires? A couple legal bolt on braces? One can only ask so much of a 36 year old design. I think you might be discovering why I sold Shamu after (only) 4.5 years.

that's true

I'm not to far off from these, the 1LE has 285's all around. With the recent purchase of tires i thought about going bigger to see how that worked out, but i played it safe since i was changing tire brands. At the rate i'm going through tires i might try again in 6 months when i need another set.

Wonder if it will be the same one I ran into at Daytona on Halloween:

They appeared to handle it quite well.

Going to be chilly for the AM group...~50 degrees. That is my excuse as Jesse bumps me down a spot or three.

See you tomorrow!

I hadn't checked in here in a while. Imagine my surprise to find the thread about todays event being all about my son's car (that he wrecked on the way to the event from the hotel) I wont go into details, but I will say then he is going to need a new front splitter and some minor body work repaired.

the 4 of us that came over from New Smyrna Beach all had a blast today. we look forward to doing it again in a couple weeks.

You should bring the R8 to race some of the events, too, Scott. I would love to watch that as would many others I'm sure.
