Wait, the event is SATURDAY the 8th of October right? That is what is published so if that is wrong it needs to be corrected. That being the case, I'm not sure why you are talking about the *late* session on Saturday when the game in is Miami Saturday night. What you should be talking about is doing the *early* session at the FAST event Saturday. That is absolutely doable with an 8pm game in Miami. With an early session FAST autocross on Saturday, you could totally be done with the event by noon giving you 8 full hours to drive to Miami, get your drink on at a tailgate session for 4 hours and drunkenly enjoy a football game late into the night Saturday. A Miami drive is normally about 4 hours, even if you factored in game day traffic, should still be doable in 6 hours which would STILL give you 2 hours of getting hammmmmered time before the game. Just sayin..

Yeah, it's Saturday. I just assumed you were talking about Friday night and knew what you were talking about.

So, does this mean you're in, and you'll split after Late Session registration is done or mostly done?

I'll be leaving town around 3:30pm Friday so Saturday is a no go, sorry.

Matt,

You knew what was up. You just listened to a girl. Shit happens. Eat 6 Larson's Biscuits before you email or go drinking.

You knew you were right with your plans. They are just screwing with you. I'm still up for sharing a ride in the "fixed" M2. Dan E thinks he can drive. I didn't see him in S2 with the Jaked Alaska in the PM session. He must be afraid? I also notice that there is no Tang in the S1 group. Boring.......Boring.......no Focus combat. That sucks big time. Might as well have brought my crap tired Vette? BUT someone threatened gummies. Poo.

I know it's too early to know what havoc Matthew may reek (not the Lava Speed one, the one from Haiti), but is there any thought/plan to cancel if he makes significant landfall? Just asking because we'll be just the other side of Matt's passage when it's time to head south from Gator Country for the Saturday event, and circumstances could make our attendance impractical.

Every forecast I've seen has the storm passing Jacksonville Friday afternoon, and the "cone of uncertainty" doesn't go past the middle of the state. Should be a non-issue for a Saturday event in Tampa.

Even you guys coming from up around Gainesville... things could change, but at present, it looks pretty good for Saturday. (I'd suggest traveling US19 instead of I-75, though... there will be a lot of folks coming and going.)

Looks like I'm not going to make it unless this storm shifts further offshore than the current track is calling for. My boss has asked me to be available Saturday morning to manage a crew to assess and button up any damage to our facilities. Y'all have fun.

Yes, with a good mount. We prefer them to be tethered so that they won't go flying if the mount fails, but a lot of people don't.

Loren,
Thanks for offering that option. It didn't even occur to me. I may be able to make that work.

It actually looks from that angle of pix there is 6" of toe in and that a huge piece of the car's floor is on the ground?
The window stickers are certainly correct? Does the pineapple mean it will grenade at some point? So stand back.

It's gonna put 6" of toe right in your back door. Probably won't even take names.

Fortunately, I'm better at driving a crappy car than I am at taking perspective photos with a crappy phone camera. You'll note that the bullseye is on the back window. 8-)
