Scott and I visited the site some time ago and measured. The parking spaces themselves, (several measured randomly) were 18x11. The aisles between the spaces were on average roughly 25 feet.

What H.C. stand for? hot car? :D

I think the finish looks too fast. I would put more of an offset in that last gate to slow people down. The way it's drawn now, I think I could get over 60 mph through the lights and then you have a light pole to deal with on the other side.

Relax, guys. Maps are never 100% accurate. We'll make sure there's plenty of space at the finish, and we'll pre-run it to be sure.

I'm sure we'll make some minor adjustments to the course, we always do. But the map will still be close enough for you to follow.

There's some truth to that. I've got so many people in training that I don't remember who's in training.
I am(was) one of your proteges...(At work, we call that French for b**ch). I've been too busy for March and April to offer much help (i'm just thrilled to make it out on the 5th!). I've got at least a couple events under my belt so far 8)

Bama - if I remember correctly, we had a ton of everything left after last event. If anything, we might need non-diet Coke/Pepsi, but I'm not sure. Hold off until we check that morning, K?

Aaron - the event is on the 6th. If you go on the 5th, well...

Jeremy - Loren and Scott got an earful of that from me, too - it'll get addressed. 8)

TracAction - hc - yeah, that makes sense.

Brian - cool. pm sent.

Floridarex - see you there.

Ask Scott how many times I mentioned "not enough runoff at the finish" in his earlier drafts. ;) The map isn't perfect now, but it's close enough that we won't have to change half the course to get it right. It'll work out.

I wandered over to the lab this morning and it appears that someone has come and confiscated the cones. Darn. I'll bet it was those Space bastards ;).

ah, synchronicity is a good thing

Thanks for trying, man. And just when you think you can trust those Space guys... we'll have a whole mess of yellow caution tape, and plenty of trees to wrap it around.

So, who wants to give me a ride out to the site?

I was going to try and go with my sister's boyfriend, but he is waffling on whether he wants to go. So I'll give him directions, but I think we'd all prefer I don't get hung out to dry and not be able to get over there. I'll have the timing laptop, the black timer case, and my helmet. I don't mind getting up early (Brian K.?).

Hey Steve,

It looks like I'm gonna have to relinquish my spot. Wendy's experiencing contractions this morning and I think I might be busy this weekend.
