Oh, I thought you may have been building it to an actual rule set. (you should)
If you've not already exceeded the scope of SCCA's C Prepared class, that would be the one.
But, they also have some new Classic American Muscle classes that it could fit into.
You're getting into classes that I'm not really interested in, so I can't tell you the details. But, if/when you decide you want to sell the car, it might be easier to sell if you can say it's "fully prepared to C Prepared specifications". Remember, FAST rules were intended to be flexible for the "run what you brung" crowd. Not really intended for people to "build a car for the class". You're welcome to do it, of course... but, you can easily end up with a car that might be nearly unclassifiable by SCCA standards.
Of course, if you're building something that's just plain stupid cool and well-built... there's a market for that, regardless!

I'm not technically building to "to a class" except maybe our race tire class, just want a place to play around and know my main adversaries will be the Lotus clones and possibly the cobra kit cars.. It's all about fun...I just like to go fast and stuff.
This might be my last one, I'm not getting any younger and my back is pretty much destroyed.

I totally "get" what he's saying

I'm sure the local SCCA would be happy to let it run in CP or EM if desired on unlimited slicks.
That pix is really cool.
Rob your build threads are awesome.
Any time you need a break from wrenching you're certainly welcome to co-drive one of my "race cars" that are less than "awesome" but still win sometimes in off classes against children or legal adults?
I missed out on a chance to drive your Johnny Cash car many years ago @ St Pete because I was very pissed at my mechanic with my own Mustang. My loss. Another great build thread.

I appreciate it, Doug..you'll get a shot at this one..
Cleaned up and painted the 95 k member and cut 2 coils out of the front 95 GT springs..waiting on the X2 ball joints and misc stuff.

Good stuff here, I like following this thread. Have you settled on a name for the build yet? If not, here's a suggestion; "Finale 5.0". Even if it is not your last, since it may be it seems fitting.

I don't know..that sounds a little too final, if you know what I mean..lol
In other news..RATFARTS!..I can't quite get my Cobra calipers to slide into a steel wheel, I guess I'll have to go with stock GT brakes.
I'll just have to make up for it with superior driving ability

More deconstruction..removing the wiring harness from the nose was good for almost 15 pounds. I'm seriously thinking of cutting the nose off at the sway bar mounts and using a bolt on piece for all the bodywork and radiator..

Rob's philosophy on race car engineering:
Throw away the box so that you're not even tempted to think inside it.
