Rumor has it Les paid more for his motor than I paid for my car. But I was going to talk to him about adjustments that might make it handle better. Before I throw any money at that, I want to work on the Noisy ZF6. Maybe he has some pointers on that too.
I paid nearly as much for the motor as I paid for the car 10 years ago... The wisdom of this is certainly questionable but I do love that engine, the engine itself has been fantastic. I think the ZF6 is just noisy, mine has made whiny noises since day one, beyond that though its a pretty great transmission.

At some point we will talk. Inc. Trailer + delivery + winning info setup + mandatory IRA withdrawal. You are not alone in your madness other than the Kia bullshit.

I'd totally rock a Kia. Oh, wait. The Festiva was made by Kia. I already did.

Hyundai owns Kia. Doh. Nuts off for a South Korean whatever with a lot of warrantee. My Daughter wasn't too thrilled about their warrantee when she got home from Iraq and they jerked her off. But memory is short in the USA.

I've got a Kubota tractor that has a transmission that's almost as noisy as the ZF6. And just as robust...

Still haven't replaced my throwout bearing so I'm giving S4 a free 5/10ths off the line trying to see if I can make my car last. Got to get my excuses started early.

Launches don't affect the throw out bearing, shifting gears does. Didn't you have a clutch put in less than a year ago?

And you don't really need the clutch for an upshift anyhow!

That's fantastic. I still need you, Jamie and Dan to beat Ben this week so I can bump him from the podium.

On another note, I am going to be selling my miata after this race if anyone is interested. 96' with 98k original miles with LSD.
