Seats turned out great, Brian.
So, no more sticky hood soon?

Brian - that looks like an image out of a 1990's 240SX car brochure - very nice.
Thanks Tim. I'm very happy with it and as another plus, no more funky smell either.

Thanks Drew, now I have to remember not to throw empty bottles of tea or trash on the seats.
The plan is to make it all one solid color with non sticky paint. I don't think the hood can hold anymore dirt and cat hair anyways

. Trying to find stock bumper covers and a side marker light, which 10 years ago would have been easy, now parts for these cars are getting really hard to find.

Been a while since I've updated. Gotten a lot done on the racekrt. New Xidas race coilovers, Bauer ELBJs and Supermiata endlinks installed, ESR seat pan installed, HardDog harness bar installed. Sadfab delrinn bushing kit and new 15x9 Konig Dekagrams arrived as well.
Have to finish up sealing up and coating the seat pan and get my OMP seat and harness installed. Then install the bushings and get the car aligned and corner balanced. Probably a ton more I'm forgetting.

Complete suspension refresh is complete. Just have to put the front stuff back together once my new sway bar bushings arrive. If anyone ever asks for your help with this job, tell them no thanks!
List of suspension overhaul work:
-Xida Race coilovers with 800F/500R springs
-Supermiata adjustable endlinks all around
-Bauer extended lower ball joints
-New tie rod ends
-SadFab Delrin control arm bushings
-SPC camber bolts for all locations
-Fresh OEM boots and new grease on FUCA ball joints
-New sway bar bushings
Next is getting new tires for the new wheels and getting this thing to Speed Syndicate for a track alignment and corner balance

A shitty new project has arrived, thanks to an inattentive driver in a parking lot.

Inattentive is an understatement!
But, I guess you needed to paint a good portion of that car, anyway. And you got lucky... just the door. If had been the rear fender... that's not replaceable, and is extremely difficult to repair.

I've got a black passenger door in my garage that's perfectly fine minus some scratches. Free to you if you come get it out of my garage. Doesn't have a door card or side view but everything else is there.

I'll take it. Thanks! Where are you? Pinnellas?
It will fit in the back of the Mustang.
Haven't heard from other insurance company yet. My insurance talked to them. So, not sure how they will want me to proceed. If they just give me check, I can handle it. Ill get the whole front painted at least.

I had a similar issue with my new Honda, hit something on the Veteran's and destroyed my rear wheel, tire and bumper, $2000 in damage

How will your automatic transmission handle the IS20 and the extra torque it produces? Or are we going to see some crazy DSG swap into it

the Golf auto is rated higher than the manual in terms of torque. some manuals have blown up trans with the is20 and aggressive boost.
so far, no one confesses auto trans failure on the forum with is20
flash tunes for is20 on Golf claim as high as 300hp crank. I'll be sticking with JB4 for now, which might achieve something like 240-260 crank.
