You guys have fun. We are going to Gainesville to watch USF stomp the Gators.... (who ever would have thought USF would ever be playing UF?) Haven't see our kid in along time! That'll make up for missing an AutoX. Next one, we'll be there!

Re: Sep 11 - SPC
Average speed, perhaps not, especially if car and driver like slaloms. Top speed on a properly designed course should be no different. It's perfectly possible to hit 60 on the pad...just can't sustain it as long. Same thing with the course length -- it's possible to fit a half-mile course into the pad.Jeremy17 wrote:Anyone want to make a wager on the average speed of this course versus the next Brooksville event? I am willing to bet the difference is greater than 10mph.

Well, I did not realize this event fills so quickly. Please tell me how I can be on a standby list, as I wish to be able to attend this event on 9-11-2010. Thanks, Dave cell/text 813 478 9665

Re: Sep 11 - SPC
For SPC events (and SPC events only!), we start a first-come, first-serve waiting list when registration check-in opens at 7am. At 9, we fill all the no-show spots and a few extra from the waiting list...usually we manage to squeeze everyone in, but get there early to be sure.kinematic11 wrote:Well, I did not realize this event fills so quickly. For reference, we can't do this for Brooksville events, since we have to submit an access roster to the airport prior to the event.

Re: Sep 11 - SPC
The ole truck is super ready for towing duties this weekend. She's a lot better now with new lower ball joints and I plumbed my air tank to have a quick disconnect in the back of the truck if anyone needs air. I'll only have about a 15' line though, although I do have a 100 footer I could grab from the house.

Will we see a pre-printed insurance form for this event?

Re: Sep 11 - SPC
Hello all...
...just introducing myself to the group. Saturday will be my first autocross, so it should be an interesting day for me. I'm planning on focusing on learning the course and on my driving, leaving my car setup for later events. Other than myself, my car, my helmet, my toolbag, and some sunscreen, it there anything else I should be taking with me?
I'm looking forward to meeting everybody.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

SPC REGISTRATION and WAIVER forms are at the bottom of the page. If you choose to come prepared, please print them back to back to save paper and make registration even easier. Thanks.

Re: Sep 11 - SPC
I did the supply run this evening. Forgot the plates, I'll be going back for those.
I bought:
10 35-packs of .5 liter water bottles for 350 bottles. I'm going to pick up two or three more packs.
6 cases of soft drinks- coke, diet coke, sprite, pepsi, mountain dew
I'll snag 8-10 bags of ice on the way in Sat.
Anything else?
Thanks.
