My only concern is when to start a 2nd car. It looks like we might have to wait until the previous car is almost finished, slowing down the overall pace.
The Jag complains about autoX by throwing Gearbox Faults.
I think it is just lazy.

I should have mentioned for credit's sake that I am only the poster of the image, not the course creator.

Looks fun to me!

We've run a course similar to this one before. You can get a little more overlap than you think, but don't expect better than a 30 second start interval. Start the second car when the first car enters the turn-around on the inner loop on the East end.

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

That's about where I planned it...will be surprised if it takes most people 30 seconds to get there, but even that's livable.

I had put in for learning timing back in June. Any chance I can do that?

Saturn Sky Redline Class?

Postby lilswi » Thu Jul 19, 2007 11:25 am

I have asked several people about what class my car should be in.
All of them told be G.
It is a 2.0 liter turbo.
Sorry if I caused anyone trouble by registering wrong with my classification.

Also could someone show me the math on this so I do not make this mistake again.

Thanks,
Jesse (The guy with the Saturn)

http://www.wedrivefast.com/rules.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Forced induction (turbo or supercharger) bumps engine displacement by a factor of 1.5. (e.g. a 2.2 liter turbocharged engine would be classed as 3.1 liter)"

2.0 * 1.5 = 3.0

"D - Modified street tire 3 liters and greater"
"F - Production street tire 3 liters and greater"
Modified cars are production-based cars with any of the following modifications:

* Any internal engine modification (crank, cams, rods, pistons)
* Any external engine modification that alters fuel delivery (alternate carb, altered fuel injection, fuel-air ratio adjusters)
* Any non-factory engine replacement
* Welded chassis reinforcement, including welded roll bars/cages
* Alternate or altered springs
* Altered suspension geometry (relocated pickup points, alternate suspension parts to increase factory alignment adjustment range such as camber kits, camber plates, or slotted strut mounts)
* Alternate main body panels (doors, hood, trunk lid, fenders, roof panel, windows)
* Removal of factory interior parts (seats, interior panels)

Less then two days to go :lol: Boy do I have itch to go burn thru expensive tires and gas in return for an adrenline rush and the possiblity of getting a niffty sticker.

don't bother, it's way too much work, and won't save you all that much time on the course, anyway.... :twisted:

So, I read the post above about Jesse's Sky and thought, crap, I never updated the season points after June. Oops. It's done now.

So, what class do I need to move Jesse to, and I assume it's for the whole season, right?

I'll try to get July's done a little sooner :oops:

On the sub I agree, the tires on it are actually faster if it doesn't oversteer (more front tire ratio than the other ones, so it oversteers more, but they have more grip). The floor mat and other crap in the car would sorta prevent it from passing tech tho :) same with the GPS... I've autocrossed it with the sub before though, and always leave the spare tire and crap in, I am fairly lazy afterall :P
