And here I thought you knew how to read a course.
FWIW, this course is almost identical to one from last year where you set FTD. The "pin turns" didn't slow you down a bit.
(whiner)
EDIT: Wasn't from last year, from 2011.

Yo, dawg, I heard you liked pin turns. So, we put a pin turn on your pin turn so you can pin turn while you pin turn.

LMAO. Funny that this is the course I could end up running my truck at, since it's similar to the course I did my exhibition run on.

With that, I got the vette back yesterday. So far so good, but I still don't trust her yet. I'm still getting removable numbers for the truck....just in case.

Here, I bought some flowers for you.
You look nice today. Are you doing something new with your hair? It looks great.

None of the 50 cars that are registered in the morning are "interesting"?

Tough crowd!
Registration is open for another week and there are now 7 slots remaining in the afternoon session. That's right, we have 93 entries so far!
Still need to firm up who's hauling the trailer.
I'll get the work assignments done later this week and notify those who need to be early or do anything special.

Loren,
I think these guys believe in "tough love".
I'm too new to even understand what I'm looking at. Even if I say it looks challenging someone would only chime in and say, " Duh newbie, for you everything is challenging." And they'd be right...lol.
So, for what its worth, it looks cool on "paper" though.
What were the reviews from the similar course that was run? I gather that this one would be a little slower because of the addition of the 2nd tight turn before the chute to the finish?

Awful. No sight lines. Sand all over the pavement. Cones jump out at you. At least, those are my excuses if I don't turn a good run.

Here's the post-event thread:

There's probably some comments on the course.

The course is from Feb 2011, all you have to do is dig up the post-event thread from that event: (Steve beat me to it)
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=893
This course should really drive almost exactly the same as the prior version. The changes were minor and shouldn't affect overall speed or driving line IF you drive it right. The first loop was made slightly tighter to make for some space between the sections of the course to allow us to run a shorter start interval. (but, watch Jeremy's video and see how tight he was on that turn as it was... you won't have to go any tighter than that to drive exactly the same line... though you might be further away from the apex cone and closer to the outside wall to maintain that line) And the S turn is almost exactly the same, it just doesn't have "guides" to force you into at least entering it on close to a correct line... you have to find that line for yourself, and you're free to make a LOT more mistakes. Drastic mistakes. Fun to watch mistakes. The change in the finish is completely inconsequential if you're on the correct line. Look at how Jeremy drove it. Same line. Everything we added to the outside is completely irrelevant to those who are driving it right... just gives those who are driving it wrong more room to get silly and hopefully not hit cones.
So... yeah. That's my take. Dave wanted to make it more of a "thinking man's course", that's how the S ended up this way. The rest of the changes were just made to try to make the course more "efficient" so we can get people through it quicker with less cones being hit.
