Special announcement for the 9 June Brooksville event

During the 9 June event, there will be a firefighting helicopter stationed at the southern end of the closed runway -- that's the end down by the motor home park. Depending on fire activity during the weekend, the helicopter may be flying in and out while we're there. This shouldn't be too difficult to work with -- we'll need to be cautious and stay slow (grid slow - 5-10 mph) while passing the pad, and comply with any directions the ground crew gives. We'll probably have someone down there to control traffic while people are entering and leaving -- no one should be down there at any other time, so there shouldn't be any interference during the event. I'll also be sending this out via an e-mail to everyone on the registration list.
Frankly, this is an expression of confidence on the part of the airport authorities -- it would have been just as easy to tell us "sorry" and cancel our access for the day.
