Who would like to chair this event?

I'll take the logistic and leading part if someone wants to design a course.

I'm sure someone will want to do the course for you, and if not, feel free to go through the archive and pick one we've done before that looks like you might like to do again...

Nobody else is jumping, so I'll design a course for you.

It would be good if someone could volunteer to co-chair with you, though. Perhaps someone who hasn't done it before, so they can gain some experience?

Good point, Loren. I was going to let this sit another 24 hours and then make the same suggestion. I'll do the hard parts (the club is so good that there are no hard parts to this) but this would be an excellent opportunity for someone thinking about chairing next season.

I think I'm going to try my hand at some course maps some time this week. ??:

I've been going through the course map stuff while I'm at work, "accidentally" hit print on the course design guide...

That course design guide is great stuff even if you never design a course. It will help you understand how to read a course better, and be aware of some of the common course designer tricks. (not that we would ever try to be deceptive and obscure the proper racing line)

I had skimmed through it previously when I first started with FAST it definitely is good information.

Well to help build some suspense about the final event of the season, I managed to get a quick sketch of a course done at work. I sent Ron a picture of it to make sure I'm not completely off before I bother with tweaking it. What did you all do with your work day?

This is the ONLY local autocross in July... OR August. That's right, there's not another autocross in the area until September!
