Anyone know where to get this local? It's supposed to contain magical elements that make your tranny not suck as much. I want to install my new short shifter and it's easy to get to the fill plug while it's out.

You get it from Ford.

I've heard that several of the local Ford dealers carry it. Bring lots of money.

I figured that... I just remember only a few carried it and they were somewhere in Tampa. I'll just call around. Installed the shifter last night.

Check the one on 19 up around Tarpon Springs. I think I heard they carry some.

This is sort of interesting as I believe the old T-5 simply used automatic trans fluid with a recommendation of replacing it every 15k miles? I saw this full synthetic on line for about $21/qt. Looks like Ford wants you to buy a "full case"? BUT it says: "Fill for life." So you should never have to replace it. So you don't want more than 2 qts?

Is that an optical illusion or will your knuckles be smashing into your radio going into 3rd?

Your car shifted so good before this has to be just nuts fast!!

It is nice... A little noisy though as it transmits more transmission noises. Luckily I had read that it would do this on a different forum or I probably would have pulled over thinking something was wrong with the engine.

Plenty of room, probably more than before because the throw is shorter. Previously I would hit my car charger in fifth or a/c controls in third if I shifted with my hand open just cruising around town.
