Another great event, the course was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

Great job by Doug today,can't think of any issues at all. I don't think I've ever seen the 3rd run group get out so quickly after the 2nd group. Can't wait for 70 degree weather to return, I was cooked by the end of the day.

Had fun at another great FAST event. Fourth overall, I'll gladly take that!

Was a great event! The third group ended up being very small compared to earlier groups. It was a couple drivers short to begin with, but then most of the no-shows came out of that group, and then at least two drivers moved out of that group due to reclassing, etc. Worked out well, though. It feels good when the last run group is a little short!

Who has the timing computer? Ron? Gerry? Would be good if you could correct that stray 6-second time that got into the final results. It's throwing everything off, and I'd rather not post incorrect results. (and that little error is way to far-reaching for me to want to make that many changes in a PDF... PDF editing is kind of a pain)

There was some really tight competition on this course! Jeremy walked away with it with a 30.4... but the remainder of the top 10 was all within 2/10ths of 31.0 seconds! And there was only 1.5 seconds between the entire top-20!

Boy do I hate getting up early. That's what happens when you live in the fringe.

Thank you all for bearing with us. Someone left us a real mess of a Police course which delayed Drew, Matt, Cris, Tony and a cast of many others in building the "no straight lines" = Trix Isn't for Kids course. The feed back I got was positive. I truely enjoyed seeing many people get trapped into the right side entry into the curved salome their first run.

A number of you helped chalk the course once approved which also was a great help moving us along. But honestly we posted that course so far in advance I figured some of you had made a new playstation game of it and couldn't get lost no matter what we did?

Steve and I made the decision to stick with the 6 runs originally discussed and due in part to deminishing heat sizes due to no shows most of you were probably long gone by 4pm.

Lunch was simply perfect thanks to Brian doing that in addition to supplies runs twice. Some of you know that there are a few of us who take lunch seriously and that BBQ is a rare and never a left over treat.

Even tho' we got a slightly late start do to me being windy at the driver's meeting you all stepped up the pace, filled the grid, filled those worker positions and helped give me a real education. Anyhow you all drove well, we had minimal reruns thanks to very good communication between the Starters and the Timing staff. Great job.

I cannot say enough to some new faces who helped us repeatedly along with the traditional work horse. The gang at the end who worked like troupers reading that SPC cone map saved my day as my fanny was really dragging by then.

For those that stayed for the awards ceromony I had Ron Rice make sure they all got some big bucks along with their stickers to show our appreciation for a great day of autocrossing.

After the trailer was packed a number of us stopped at Beef O'Gradys for some prolonged AC, copious amounts of healthy fluids followed by a very nice light dinner. Bench racing and a good laugh is always a perfect ending to a long day. Speaking of trailers thanks to Ed C. for those duties and and extra thanks to Ron H. for being the backup for today's event. It's awesome to have folks you can count on. No trailer, no event.

**Special thanks to Matt Sullivan for letting me co-drive his boosted (not stolen) MazdaSpeed Miata. Now that's the way an MX5 should be. A blast to drive and sounds great doing it.

Driving home no smoke from my exhaust so im guessing the high rpm right hand turn on the start sucked oil into the intake through the pcv valve.

Good job, everybody. Another fun FAST event well run! Doug's course was loads of fun. BBQ=yum.

The supplies are down to 4 - 12 packs of various colas. 1/2 a case of water (basically none) There are some fresh batteries for the radios still. One large pack unopened in the tech case.

Apparently everyone listened about hydrating!! Awesome.

Who is this Kurtis Clauser person? Ferris Bueller's 1/2 brother? Definately not having an off day there. It wasn't a fluke as all his runs were fast.

Great course, Doug - very enjoyable to be able to accelerate through sweepers like that - and overall well-chaired, too. You're hired so feel free to chair again any time you want.

Sorry to the workers in the first run group - it was a bit longer than usual, but as Doug said...at least the heat wasn't up to "full blaze" right away...

Fun course and battle with Drew and John. I think I've decided most < 35 sec courses at SPJC are fun, any longer and you probably designed something too slow and tight.
