Feb 16th - Brooksville autox - the Pivot Cone calls...

Postby Native » Sat Jan 05, 2013 10:54 pm

Big thanks to Doug and Brian for chairing this one! :notworthy:

Registration will be opening in a few days.

I'm sure they will be needing the usual slate of volunteers.

After the Jan. event, it looked like we had about 2-3 cases of various sodas and one full case of water left over.
I'll get some AA batteries for the radios. Put me down for registration, please.

As for the pivot cone.. :dunno:

So who's going to help set up the course? At least it will be cooler then.

Doug (and all), everyone will put their work requests on their registration and we'll work it out after registration is done. Not much point in trying to half-way hash this out now and cause more headaches later.

We need event chairmen and trailer tow. Pretty much everything else will go to volunteers based on a whole bunch of considerations. (didn't I discuss this a couple weeks ago?)

Now there's a thought :thought: ONE Airport Course + ONE SPC course forever. K.I.S.S. like Andrewiwan said.

Everyone did like that SPC lo-o-ong Loren wrung every square inch out of:) (OR should we just run the police course so we don't have to remember how it was?)

Then we could have all time course records. Just like Sebring and Indy. Sir "J" would never need another course map. Cars would only need two special setups. No more course walks required. Earlier starts and finishes.

Think of the environmental impact of less wasted time, paper and ink. :d We could have the same Papa John's Pizza lunch too (burp). :rightpuke:

ONLY ONE more useless survey required. WooHoo. NASCAR meets Autocross.

Do this and I swear I will show up with a cow-catcher on the front and will take out every mother flicking cone out there on every single run.
Just so you know. Full disclosure and all.

BTW I will be available for plugging into course setup spot.

I just bought a printer specifically for FAST events. Only had to spend $200 and now I just have to remember to check the forum and skim 8 pages of posts to find the map.
Can't believe I complained about it. It's so simple and easily accessible to everyone. :thumbwink:
