hey guys,
I was at the cfr event last weekend, I was on the motorcycle.
Anyway, i'm curious as to what a stock BMW 325i Would be classed as?
And would a Carbon Fiber hood change the classing at all?
And as for the exhaust manifolds, if I changed the headers or exhaust?

Stock 325i is in S4.

Non-stock body panels will toss you to Mod. We don't care about exhaust.

I'll let the experts answer your questions, but it was good to meet you last weekend. And the way you helped pick up cones etc.. even though you were just spectating was really appreciated! Looking forward to seeing you join the FAST folks! We run on volunteers too.

oh absolutly, you guys let me check it out. ride along in ur monster a Brunton, it was a blast. And i'm certainly glad I made it out. I'm always down to lend a hand.

Um... except that it needs to be reasonably quiet. No open pipes or crazy loud stuff. If you have to ask if it's too loud... it's probably too loud.

I hate loud exhausts, i'm getting some m3 headers for my 325i and a tune...so i figured i'd ask.
the m3 headers are stainless instead of cast, flow a little better, and weighs alot less.
So you certainly won't hear any big obnoxious open headers sounds from me.

You need to read our rules. They're VERY simple as far as rules go.

You can do what you want with exhaust and intake and a lot of other things. But, your "tune" is where we draw the line. The logic being that you're not going to make THAT much difference with simple bolt-on stuff without optimizing the fuel to go with them.

So, if you want to stay in stock class... you need to keep your stock ECU.

fair enough, i'll read them over today. I just got a Carbon Fiber Hood for a great price, so i'm going to be in M1 I believe.
