I attended my first AutoX event at Tampa Bay Downs this past weekend (Oct. 13) and I ran in the M2 class. I was looking, out of curiosity and the want to get better and more involved in AutoX, at the classing guidelines and novice section. I have a 2011 Ford Mustang V6. I know that with the stuff I've done to the car I'll be in a modified class regardless. I classed in M2 (Ford & Mercury Mustang & Capri (V8) ESP M2) since it would seem my car fits there. However, being that my car is a V6 and not a V8, it also seems it should fit into the M3 category as well (Ford & Mercury All FWD or 6-cyl or 4-cyl NOC DSP & FSP M3) but I am not sure of what NOC means, or if it only applies to the 4cyl Fords.

Any help or insight anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure, but...

NOC means Not Otherwise Covered.
The (V8) is referring to the Capri and not the Mustang.
Therefore all Mustangs go to M2.

I think the 6 cyl and 4 cyl Mustangs are common enough that it would be specified if they had a separate class.
The NOC usually only applies to car you don't see 5 of at every stoplight. IE Mustang.

I campaigned this year to switch the mod classes to be based off the stock classes but it didn't make it.
V6 and V8 Mustangs are separate in stock classes, but they come together in modified.
Maybe next season, we will have mod classes where the v6 and v8 mustangs don't run in the same class.

M2 is the correct class for now if you have mods that take you out of stock.

No way a 300 hp car is appropriate for M3, and we don't presently have an "in-between" class.
