I found this really tempting at 1/2 the normal price. It's been a decade since I had R tires.

Then I noticed it looks like they were made in 2009? Well TireRack kept them indoors so they are probably fine or they wouldn't sell them.

Still be great for a track day or two?

I wouldn't risk it. I tried a set of similarly old "new old stock" tires on the Z4. They were street tires, and not "the best" street tires, but I firmly believe that they should have been a LOT grippier than they were. Being 3-4 years on the shelf really hurts a performance tire.

If TR expected them to be 100% okay, they wouldn't bother discounting them to 50%.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

This might be a problem for people not familiar with prophilactics?

You have to roll it out the "whole" way to see the "warning".

"This device is sold for prevention of disease only." That requires about 6" (or more) of travel.

You're welcome.
