Registration is open!
I'm headed off on vacation next week, so I opened registration early for this one. This will be the first event after the FAST Novice School, so be ready to get pwned (is "pwned" still a thing?) by some noobs!
This will be a split-format event. Sorry, we can't do a proper lunch for split Brooksville events. But, we'll have snacks for you to nibble on, along with the usual water and soft drinks to keep you hydrated.
Get registered!

Registered. See ya there. Sara finally agreed to race too! If any instructors have time to offer help, I know she will appreciate it.

That's great, because a lot of us have been doing it for years and still haven't figured it out.

The Blue Bomber will be back in action for this event.
It's got some shiny new 245-40-17 Dunlop Z2 Star Specs!
Hopefully whatever destroyed my wheel/tire didn't bugger the alignment. I won't have time to get it checked before the event.....

I've been meaning to post this for at least 3 days now, but kept getting sidetracked.

Looks like a fun track, when is the cut of date to register? the reason I ask it seems like my car won't shift into 2nd or 3rd happily in cool weather ( hot days are fine

). So I'm not 100% sure I'll have that fixed in time.

Philip, check your clutch slave cylinder. The clutch probably isn't fully releasing due to a leak there. Common Miata problem.
Registration closes the Monday before the event. (check the event info on the registration page for the event, that piece of info is always right there at the bottom of the page)

I see it now ( the 10th ) I checked that page twice and missed it
Thanks
The slave and the clutch are new ( already had that go out ), maybe it is out of adjustment? I'm also looking at a shifter rebuild kit.

We really haven't had really cold weather but if your trans gear oil level is low that can be a problem too. Or you might have the wrong type gear oil in your trans that could effect it if the temp gets low, but I doubt that's your problem. It's also possible your turret shifter oil is low ?

Oil should be fine as I changed that when I got the car a few months ago. I'll check that and the slave again, thanks.
EDIT:
The more I look at the track layout the more I like it. I really need to stop waiting until my second to last run to start pushing the car. My goal this time is to not worry as much and just execute!

Looks like another technical track. I hate seeing the long slaloms, but it's something I need to get better at...so bring it on!
After seeing 70+ mph at Ft. Myers this weekend, this should be an interesting change of pace.

I'm registered for the masochistic morning crew!
Just to clarify, helmets can be either auto or motorcycle as long as they are DOT, but do not need snell certification? I need to go find one now!
