Man, I love fall weather!
Thanks to all who braved the PERFECT WEATHER for this event. I have the results on a thumb drive in my pocket, will post them after I get some dinner!

Fun course today, really wished I was able to get under 50 seconds, oh well I can do with a 50.3xx. I'll probably upload my clean run video after the results are published so I can put the time on the video.
In the mean time, I did upload the video of my spin. Watching that particular area on my videos and from memory, that one section and a couple others in the second half, my car was on that edge between losing it and maintaining control and that one run, I just lost it. I did notice a lot of the second half it was really easy to overdrive the course and ride the sidewalls of my tires. But overall car felt good today, do wish steering response was a lot better in the tight sections, I think 15x7 wheels are the next mod I do rather than being pinched.

So I was pulling on to the runway this morning when my rear motor mount bolts fell out and disappeared so like any sane autocrosser would I stuck a screwdriver in it held ok for 4 runs but on the 5th from the motor moving around so much the shifter linkage fell apart and the exhaust pulled out of the header so it was pretty loud on the way home. Any had a great time can't wait for the next one.

Guess it depends where your "thumb drive" has been. AND where has your pocket been?
Ready?: Confusious say: " Man who have hand in pocket feel cocky all day."
As usual a great 1/2 day. Weird being there in the AM session with no caffeine to wake me up but almost all the S2 guys were there fearing Jamie's PM attack.
So we will twiddle our thumb drives and wait for Loren to have some dinner until we find out how "Jamie" did. He all ready knows how he did along with all the PM folks. Guess that's why I have always been there in the PM.
Postman got in my way blocking the drive when I got home at 12:30 today. Special delivery. Hmmmmmm.
It's a bitch getting old. It's mathematical. 18 will go into 70 a lot more times than 68 will go into 18.

I saw a guy holding something in grid that looked a lot like a rubber mount with holes in it. That was probably something else?

Anybody know what time Loren eats?
My observation is that he's a "browser" and eats a little all the time so Lord only know when he'll post results.
Last I saw:
FTD Street tires was an s2k in mod.
S2 = #1 Rob
#2 Loren
#3 Doug
Then there's that bugger Jamie wanting to get a sticker. Bugger. Bugger. Bugger.

I think I speak for many people when I say, "shut up, Mike."
(that should tell you all you need to know)

There was a decent sized bolt with a spacer sitting on the table during lunch time. I bet that was your motor mount bolt.
Not sure where it is now.
Damn 1LE.

Bolt is in the front floorboard of my car. Could be an engine mount bolt maybe.
Someone also found a nice black lugnut on course... which I find particularly scary.

As you well know, I've always left the sticker in the box. This time, too.

But dang it, up through the third run, I was leading the class...!

Well you certainly earned this sticker. You were faster all day long.

EARLY SESSION Pictures, Nothing "professional" or edited it at all but some of them turned out OK. I'm just posting all of them so some are VERY bad.

Video is also coming from the early session, just waiting for it to convert and upload.
TL;DR I had fun, great course, I need shocks, thanks for letting me drive Joshua.
Unfortunately my plan to film the other group didn't turn out as I got confused about what run group I was in...
Had a great time. Really liked the track much more than I thought I would when I looked at the map. Very interesting flow that really made hitting the apexes feel rewarding.
This was my first event with tires that weren't toast. They did alright. They don't have loads of grip, but it's better than what I had. I wish they had more feeling though.
When Loren drove my car ( thanks ) I realized I wasn't trusting the tire enough, on my old tires I never really felt like the car was "gripping". It was more like little sliding or LOTS OF SLIDING. So after that riding with him I liked the tires more. I did get a 50.727 in my car

. I bet with a few more tries I could have gotten it into the 50.5 range. My goal was 50 ANYTHING so I'm happy it turned out the car had it in it with a great run.
Unfortunately, Loren told me I need new shocks after he drove my car ( thanks again

). I actually didn't think they were that bad until I took a ride in Joshua's car. Oh my goodness. Apparently I don't know what good shocks feel like. I certainly do now.
Thanks to Joshua for letting me drive his car!!!!. Considering I haven't done many events ( this was my 4th ) it didn't cross my mind that someone would let me drive, let alone at a points event. It was really awesome getting a chance to drive a car that's set up. It was a joy to drive. Made me feel better about my driving. Thanks again!!!
I see I'm going to need to start taking my car setup more seriously so I can get my car car running like that. I can't wait until I get new shocks ( unfortunately that will be a bit in the future ).
Thanks again, all. It was a great event. I really had fun, as always.

Good times. I only got my ass handed to me by one of my co-drivers, so that's kinda nice.
Another well run and FUN FAST event.

No problem, dude! Always happy to flog somebody else's car and then tell them how much it sucks.
But, yeah, I could tell by the way you reacted to me telling you that your shocks were horrible that you didn't know... that's why I asked Josh to let you take his car for a run. Glad it all worked out!

Mike always seems to get me by ½ of a tenth of a second. I have successfully whittled that down to a mere ¼ of a tenth of a second.

Wait... what?
We've been busting our butts trying to do better tech inspections to keep drivers and workers safe on course... and... what???
